VDH's message - HOPE

Ayad Allawi

Six years ago, the conventional wisdom was that Ayad Allawi, then prime minister of the appointed Iraqi Interim Government, was a puppet of the United States.

Last month, though, the Allawi-led Iraqiya alliance won, by a narrow margin, more parliamentary seats than any other coalition in national elections -- and he may become the country's next prime minister.

The secular Allawi successfully campaigned on the message of curbing religious interference in government -- countering the often-argued charge that the U.S. has created a radical Islamic republic in Iraq.

Indeed, as we look back at our years in Iraq, almost all of what once passed for conventional wisdom has been proven wrong.

The NeoCon argument, which is is the same argument the Thebans made all over the Spartan hegemony as they freed the Helots leaving fortified cities in their wake, is that given a chance, and despite history and all other considerations, ALL PEOPLES WILL GRAVITATE TOWARDS FREEDOM, has yet to be shown to be false.

As long as the overriding philosophy of a population originates from a murderous, terrorizing, pedophile, I see no hope.
The all time best example of bucking that evil philosophy (Turkey) couldn't even make a hundred years of at least a facade of decency.
I see far greater possibilities of bringing freedom, justice, and the rule of law to the naked pagans in New Guinea.
The 'new' secular Western thinkers may deny and ignore this central importance and immovable reality of mans spiritual aspect, but it WILL remain immovable.

In the end, it's either this way or THIS WAY

Islam WILL survive if the former choice is taken, it will NOT if we end up on the other path

I would party so hard if it turns out I am wrong.

By the way, if VDH is right here, Bush will go down in history as being among the top ten Presidents,

Lincoln
Washington
Reagan
FDR
Jefferson
Truman
Bush
Polk
Adams
T. Roosevelt

in approximately that order, I believe.

I believe this speaks of Al Madhi, the Mohammedan 'savior'
Daniel 8:24, And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall DESTROY WONDERFULLY, -my emphasis.

Interestingly enough the Beast (Anti-Christ) as described in Revelation chapter 13 gets all his power from the dragon (Satan)
