Stop Islamization of America (SIOA) Trademark Rejected by U.S. Government
Because its name may "disparage" Muslims.
Another WTF? moment
This is a clear violation of Free Speech. For instance, what if this logo had been designed for the cover of a book. We all think one can say anything in a book, right?
I guess not.
Also, I have to wonder if this is the very first time the government has rejected a trademark on an image. I've never heard of it happening before. Has anyone else?

Pastorius,
They should take it to the supreme court if they have to. The government should not care so about private citizens offending Muslims, or anyone else for that matter. If a liberal group wanted to start an organization called Stop The Christianization of America, would they even care that such a name might be offensive to Christians?
That is what they should do, file an anti Christian name and then apply for the SIOA again and sue them crazy.
So what is the deal now -- can we use it but it's must not a registered trademark or what?
Or maybe we could come up with a new meaning for SIOA.
