Afghanistan: Taliban 'hang 7-year-old boy for spying'

Lashkargah, 9 June (AKI): Taliban fighters have hanged a seven-year-old boy, claiming he was passing information to foreign soldiers in the volatile southern province of Helmand, the governor's spokesman, Daud Ahmadi, told Pajhwok Afghan News.

The child's shocking murder took place in the Sarwan Qala area of Sangin district late on Tuesday. The boy, whose name was not immediately known, was abducted from the village of Heratyan, Ahmadi said.

... because there are an awful lot of REAL HUMAN BEINGS THERE, you know, those upright animals who are endowed by their Creator with Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.

Good Point.

Why not "just nuke the bloody region to kingdom come" ?

US is supporting pro-democracy Government. Though that government is Islamic (liberal?), it is definitely better than Taliban. As you know, Taliban is practising pro-extremist (kind of Islam).

Choose the better of two evils, remember? That is the basic training for field agent.

If you "just nuke the whole region" , is it justified? Firstly, the use of nuclear weapon on sovereign land. Afghanistan belongs to the Afghan people, it is not the soil f USA. Secondly, if you "just nuke" , you will kill enemies AND friends. Okay, that is collateral damage. You will also turn other friends elsewhere into enemies. To have more enemies is not the best policy now. Not the whole Islam world is enemy to the USA (and the West). It is a love-hate relationship. They may say they hate USA for supporting Israel, but they needed the Dollar. Money talks, and no man can resist it. If Islam (and the Arab world) really hate Israel, they would have united and crush Israel. But they won't. And they can't. Because they don't trust each other. The splits are everywhere.

Hi Abdooss!

Our president, blech, puke, ... has already said he will not use nukes in any circumstance, even if one is used on US, he will not reciprocate.

The cries of nuke 'em, and I've said it myself, are just intense frustration with a world that we cannot simply even begin to understand. A 7-year-old boy hanged for spying? A woman stoned to death for adultery? The poor guy in Saudi Anathema getting 90 lashes for kissing a girl in pubic? Little girls being gassed at school? These things are so irrational to us, so wrong and morally reprehensible, and the fact that our young women and men are being sent to die for this world, provokes many of us to say: NUKE THEM! It is like a teapot steaming over. It is cathartic.

These sites, that may be painful for you to read, are a social service that allow some to psychologically vent.

I mean, not that that is the point and raisin d'etre of this here site, ... but if some annonymous person can blow off some steam, then maybe that energy is spent here, in a relatively harmless way?

You could also argue, I suppose, that these sites can also incite people more?

I've begun having dreams about Muslim women in shrouds. And I read a lot of these sites. I get furious when I see a Moooslim woman in a headscarf in my country. I take it as an affront, disrespect for my culture and disrespect for my grandmothers who fought long and hard to have civil rights and equality.

Maybe these sites to add fuel to the fire, ... but the fire is burning in me, already.

Just musing here.

American Rose,
We ought to be angry at women being forced to live as second class citizens, and in some cases, as slaves. That ought to make people angry.

So, if this site and others make people angry at such, then great, we're doing our job.

Oh please, when Elvis Shitello agrees that Israel practices apartied on Palestinians, ... I counter where the outrage for the apartied world Muslim women live in, that in some countries, in particular, is very harsh and extreme. We're talking about a half a billion women!

I know I repeat.

I also love how conservatives are always questioning where the femininists are on this issue? I agree, their absence in vocalizing extreme outrage, is outrageously absent. And then you have those like Naomi Wolf, who in allowing feminine empathy to overrule her reason, is duplicitous in her aid of Muslim women's subjegation.

I agree, American Rose.
