That's our late great (it burned down about 15 years ago) local market PENNI'S and there's a great story behind that flag. It seems the Marblehead High seniors ran a scavenger hunt one year and on the list was one of the "N's" from the PENNI'S sign, for obvious reasons. The hunt succeeded, so what you saw next morning coming around the corner past the Baptist church was PEN I'S. Legend has it that the owner was so pissed he refused to replace the N so someone had the N flag sign made up as a joke.
