EDL Runs Amok In Leicester

Yesterday, I posted a piece questioning what it means to say the EDL "runs amok" "smashing" news equipment and police cars.

BabbaZee sent over this video. They certainly are running amok here, and one wonders what would have happened in this fast food-type restaurant, had their not been police protection:

This is what the LORD says: Do what is just and right. Rescue from the hand of his oppressor the one who has been robbed. Do no wrong or violence to the alien, the fatherless or the widow, and do not shed innocent blood in this place.

Great quotes.

I see no evidence that the EDL were involved, it could be anyone.

There are no EDL signs or banners in sight. How were these guys identified?

Officers have blamed a "hardcore element" of English Defence League supporters for breaking through police lines.

Up to 200 of the group's supporters forced their way past them towards the end of Saturday's city centre protest.

It is understood the group was later involved in skirmishes with youths in the Humberstone Road area and elsewhere in the city centre, as well as an attack on a restaurant.

Police believe members of an opposition group known as the Muslim Defence League – thought to be from the West Midlands – were also present in the city and became involved in some disturbances.

Chief Superintendent Rob Nixon said there were 1,000 EDL supporters and 700 others backing a counter protest organised by Leicester Unite Against Fascism.

Mr Nixon blamed a hardcore element of the EDL which was determined to break through police lines.

He said an investigation was ongoing. The UAF counter-protest passed without incident.

Before they were rounded up by police a group of EDL supporters attacked the Big John's fast food restaurant, in Humberstone Road.

Usman Ali, area manager for the chain, said: "They smashed four windows and came inside the shop and frightened our customers.

"Everyone is fine, although it was a very frightening experience for our staff and the people who were here eating their dinner."

Witness Imtiaz Noor Mohammed, 21, of North Evington, said: "I was with friends getting something to eat.

"People saw them coming and someone locked the door. They smashed some windows and one of the EDL people kicked the door open and stood there threatening people.

"There were only families in there; men, women and children eating together. The whole thing was over in a minute but it was very scary."

The EDL appeared to have failed to stick to an agreement with police for its supporters travelling by coach to rendezvous with police at Leicester Forest East service station on the M1 before being escorted into the city centre. Instead, around 400 of its followers appeared without warning in Market Harborough. Police said they diverted officers to the town quickly.

Youtube footage of incidents, including the one at Big John's, is at:

BBZ . . .two statements reveal a bias which has us question the identity of those involved in the video:

1)" Mr Nixon blamed a hardcore element of the EDL which was determined to break through police lines. He said an investigation was ongoing. The UAF counter-protest passed without incident."

We are all familiar with the UK/EU media negative characterizations of EDL - as well as the local pols making use of UAF to achieve the appearance of EDL violence.

2."The EDL appeared to have failed to stick to an agreement with police for its supporters travelling by coach to rendezvous with police at Leicester Forest East service station on the M1 before being escorted into the city centre."
It's been well documented that police intentionally diverted coaches from their destinations to previous protests, often keeping passengers on the coach for hours without access to bathrooms.

Sorry, I don't see any of this as proof since the local politicians/police have sullied their own integrity.

There are ample videos online which clearly demonstrate 'Asian' gangs chanting familiar 'allahu akbar' and breaking through Leicester police barriers, then damaging vehicles and attacking non-Asian pedestrians . . .all filmed by Asians who post & gloat on YouTube.

P.S.
Another interesting point to consider is the absense of the EDL chant (sounds more like a repetitive grunt) when they move in groups. "E . . .E. . .E D L"
and the absense of nationalist banners and flags and clothing representing those colors which are characteristic of EDL gatherings.

Well let's wait and see what the EDL leadership says and does over this before we write off what seems to me as the only virile resistance against the Mohammedan fiends intent on enslaving us all.
If it turns out that these people were associated with the EDL, then will the EDL admonish them?
If the EDL disavows them then what?
If the EDL acknowledges them and does nothing, then we have something to bring against the EDL, but not until then.

Why, why, why, such sensitivity for any ALLEGED crimes supposedly committed by the TRUE anti-fascists while the definite outlandish daily violations by the fascists are winked at?

This is a fu*ken PC joke!!!

Hmm, media brands EDL a bunch of violent bigots. Actual bigots watching the media decide the EDL is where the action is and hitch up their wagons for some mob rioting.

Let's keep things in perspective though, shall we?

1. The EDL has divided the world into the House of England and the House of War. (true/false)

2. The EDL is actively engaged in a holy war directed against all non-english countries. (true/false)

3. The EDL has carried out more than 16,212 deadly terrorist attacks worldwide since 9/11. (true/false)

4. The EDL demands you either submit to English culture globally, or pay treasure for the privilege of retaining a pitiful semblance of whatever religion you currently hold (provided it's either Christianity or Judaism that is) (true/false)

Yup, based on just those four answers and the fact that the EDL surely runs careful background checks on everyone who shows up for street marches along with issuing coded ID tags to only those who pass, I can see how the MSM might conflate the EDL with real fascists.

Very good points.

I think my problem with the EDL's origins in the BNP is legitimate. The BNP is a whites only party, and you know that is true (of course, they changed that, when forced by a new law, last year).

The EDL has, as I have pointed out, made efforts to clean up their racism, but when the leaders come out of a racist party, and many of the rank and file do too, you are bound to have problems.

If you look through our posts on the EDL, some are positive, and some are negative.

It has been a point of this website that we can not stoop to racism to deal with Jihad. Jihad has nothing to do with race, so racism is not a rational solution in the first place. But, beyond that, we believe racism is evil, plain and simple.

You're not going to get an argument for racism from me. I just am sick and tired of this ridiculous, kneejerk, kow-towing, and hand wringing over even the slightest POSSIBLE infractions while the enemy commits every transgression under heaven without a second thought.

I happen to be married to a 'minority' by the way.
To me though she along with our children are a majority when it comes to my emotions.

cjk,
I also am married to a "minority". She's Asian. Yes, I understand what you are saying. Perhaps I am being too sensitive.

However, given the defense of the Vlaams Belang that I witnessed here by my ex-fellow bloggers at IBA, (Pamela, Baron, and Dymphna), please excuse me if I have a seemingly knee-jerk reaction when I am told that an apparently racialist organization is not at all racist.

I wasn't referring to you personally, I think you're doing a great job. I just wish to bring attention to a mindset that seems to be sub-consciously ingrained in all of us, a bullshit double standard.

I met my wife in Mexico City by the way.
