All of us, every single man, woman, and child on the face of the Earth were born with the same unalienable rights; to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. And, if the governments of the world can't get that through their thick skulls, then, regime change will be necessary.

Not Pasto's favorite Arvo Part but that's fine. It is mine :)
(ok, I've never met an Arvo Part piece I didn't like. And that's all Pasto's fault. He introduced me to him a few years ago)
I think all of us Westerners are screwed, very screwed. I am going to go down fighting PC and the ReligionOfPeace (TM) fellows, but we are veeeeery screwed.
Perhaps I am overly negative (I hope for the best but expect, nay, get ready for the worst). I really think it will take armed revolutions (or surprising political change-unlikely) to stop the decay...
Frankly, it looks to me like the West is where Rome was in 400AD or the Qing dinasty was in the 1800s: DENIAL (we are the best, we can allow anything because we are untouchable no matter what we allow or do or don't do). My Spanish ancestors must be rolling in their graves... 800 years fighting the frakking armed mohammedan invaders, then we let them take the country without firing a short because we have become meek... argh!
We (the West) may: 1) rise again from the ashes (Rennaissance part II), or 2) fall again into the abyss of the Dark Ages...
Unfortunately (maybe because I just lost my job-yes, my position was relocated outside the West), I support #2 as my prediction for the world in 2050.

Anonymous,
I like your thoughts, and agree with them to an extent, but what does all that have to do with Arvo Part's music?
