Say Buh-Bye to the Internet on Novemer 30th??

From Veronica, my favorite new Zipper at Weasel Zippers:
(Big Government) November 30th, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) could potentially engage in one of the largest federal power grabs we have ever seen
After two years of this Presidential Administration and this Congress, that is saying an awful lot about an awful lot.
And what’s worse, the FCC would be doing it without Congress weighing in.  At the FCC’s November meeting – note the coincidental date of choice, AFTER the impending election – three unelected bureaucrats (of five) could simply vote themselves rulers of 1/6th of our entire economy – the information and technology sector.

I'm getting FIOS in 12 days, and now THIS?

Well, I guess that the upside is that I'll have a lot of free time if the Internet tanks. [heavy sarcasm]

I was going to shrug this off then I checked up again on Mark Lloyd, that Alinsky pimp who is Chief Diversity Officer at the FCC. Well, no, there is really no good reason to doubt that he'd do all of this and more if he can get the chance. How realistic is the possibility that he will?

AOW,
You won't have much to do; spoken like a true Serf.

Just the way O'Bummer wants us.

Would the whole internet "tank"? What exactly will they do to us?

Seven People Have Been Entrusted With The Keys To The Internet.
The basic idea is that in the event of an Internet catastrophe, the DNSSEC (domain name system security) could be damaged or compromised and we'd be left without a way to verify if a URL is pointing to the correct website.

Anyone had probs with the URL's lately?
