All of us, every single man, woman, and child on the face of the Earth were born with the same unalienable rights; to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. And, if the governments of the world can't get that through their thick skulls, then, regime change will be necessary.
Given the fact that the potential nuclear disaster is happening in Japan right now, it would be even funnier if Godzilla was walking toward him in front of the explosion.
But in all fairness, I don't think Obama can do much about what's going on in Japan right now.
No, fairnesss no longer has anything to do with it, D.
There is still unrest in Egypt, though little reported. Bahrain is melting down so the Saudis have rolled tanks in whiel crushing their own nascent protests. The Iranians threaten to (presumably) roll their own tanks into Saudi Arabia if the Saudis don't roll out of Bahrain. Meanwhile the Iranians themselves are crushing their own internal dissent by, in some cases, throwing children as young as 14 at the protestors thinking that the protestors will be less likely to hurl rocks etc for fear of taking down a kid. Yemen is still in ti's own throes. Israel has stopped 2 arms shipments by sea -- 1 to Egypt and the other from Iran to Gaza -- and one by land to Gaza. The only thing loser to Hell ion Earth right now than Libya is probably Japan where they are sleeping in sub zero temps with winds and snow, little or no food and water while our government decides that our troops must stay 50 miles from the reactors to protect them from harm. The very same troops who WILLINGLY volunteered to go in harm's way for others. And opf course no one knows what the real situation in Japan is with the reactors because the gov't there can't get it's story straight and meanwhile here OUR gov't tells people like Jake Tapper that they should get the story from their own reporters and not our gov't then turns around and very non-challantly suggests that buying Potassium Iodide is a good precaution (read the piece I put upon how fun this shit can be) thereby adding to some panic worry and frenzy that doesn't really need to exist in the first place the risk is that small to us. But do you hear that from our gov't let alone our president? Our own economy is in freefall (note if you will three stories this last week -- February housing starts at near historic lows, new unemployment figures surprisingly high, food costs climbing very fast) and our Congressional ninnies can't decide what to do about it. So the Fed will likely just print more money.
Meanwhile, Obama goes golfing and makes sure he gets his March Madness picks in. And oh yes, is planning a 2 or 3 day trip to Brazil soon with the wife and kids.
I understand that but still, with all that's going on, we have an absentee president.
Whether it's Japan or anyplace else the White House and Administration need to speak as one and have one consistant response. You and I may not agree with it (high probablility, that) but at least it should be consistant. because what we're getting these days on ALL issues is a cacophony of official voices often contradicting one another or at best clueless to the situation on the ground.
The inconsistancy makes them look weak and amateurish to the American people, our friends and allies and most dangerously to our enemies.
There is much to be very worried about right now -- fallout from Japan here the least of it -- and anyone paying attention is getting very worried and we have a gov't that instead of saying "I got this" is saying "Yeah, good luck with that. Fore!"
The Man Child is just the symptom. The real illness is the leftist media, leftist poverty pimps, leftist racists, leftist Golden Goose killing environmentalists, ETC.
Such a large portion of this nation has become so dumbed-down ignorant, or just plain immoral that it may be too late. It's that brutally simple.

I respond: This is true, but even a lot of the media does not like the results Obama is producing. However, I guess they would likely fall for the next guy who promised to solve the problem by setting up more government programs.

Midnight Rider,
I looked at the original at the American Weasel, and it specifically mentioned what's going on in Japan, that's why I brought that up.

BHO is not a leader. Rather, he's all about "It's my turn now."

the problem is everyone is starting to recognize that obama exhibits very little connection to the human race.

rumcrook,
Obama's reaction to Japan and the ME has been beyond bizarre. It's almost as if his inaction is a giant "fuck you" to the human race.
