Average Gas Price Poised To Hit
$4 A Gallon This Week
We’re closing in on that psychological price-point
The psychological price-point of $4 a gallon is looming straight ahead, and will likely be hit before the end of the week, based on the rate of recent price escalation.
The national average price of self-serve regular today is $3.967 a gallon, according to AAA’s Fuel Gauge Survey. That’s nearly a dime a gallon more than seven days ago.
Already, motorists in many parts of the country are paying well in excess of $4 a gallon. For example, the average price of gas has hit an all time high in Chicago, $4.39 a gallon. The average price is over $4 a gallon now in 14 states; Alaska, California, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, New York, Ohio, Rhode Island, Washington, Wisconsin and West Virginia.
Prices were going up dramatically as inventories were increasing
Now that inventories are falling ….

2008 - Flashback:
Mr. Chu has called for gradually ramping up gasoline taxes over 15 years to coax consumers into buying more-efficient cars and living in neighborhoods closer to work.“Somehow we have to figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the levels in Europe,” So, given Mr. Chu’s preference, instead of paying $1.49 per gallon, I would be paying $4.50 a gallon.
Sounds prophetic?
One last quote from Mr. Chu to illustrate the point:“Coal is my worst nightmare.”
we in CA are paying nearly $5 --
Time for a change--
When California cast their electoral votes in '08 they got their change with the added blessing of hope.
I guess all the bastards that voted for Odama are happy now. Change they got. It was just bad change.
Unfortunately, all those who saw thru Odama's crap were dragged into the singularity also.
