Rasmussen:
Opposition to Ryan Budget Plan Grows
A plurality of voters still have no opinion about Republican Congressman Paul Ryan’s long-term budget-cutting plan, but opposition has increased over the past several weeks. By a near two-to-one margin, they don’t like his proposal for tackling spiraling Medicare costs.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 26% of Likely U.S. Voters continue to favor the budget proposal by Ryan that claims to cut federal spending by $4 trillion over the next decade. But that’s unchanged from a month ago.
Now, however, 34% oppose Ryan’s proposal, up from 27% in the previous survey. A sizable 40% still don’t know enough about the plan to have any opinion of it. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
And WSJ:
About 1 in 7 in U.S. Receive Food Stamps
By Sara MurrayGrowth in the food stamp program appeared to reach a plateau in February — with 14.3% of the population relying on the safety net program.
The number of food stamp recipients was essentially flat in February, the most recent month available, with 44.2 million Americans receiving benefits, according a new report from the U.S. Department of Agriculture. (See a sortable breakdown of the data here.)
The food stamp program ballooned during the recession as workers lost their jobs or saw their hours and income reduced. The rise in recipients has begun to flatten in recent months, which may mean that as the economy is improving fewer Americans are seeking to join the program. Enrollment in the program is still high though, with 11.6% more people tapping benefits in February than the same month a year earlier.
The END?
Meet you at Galt’s Gulch?
Paul Ryan needs better PR, and better promotion. FOR STARTERS.
Maybe it has to be a near run thing with democracies. It just can’t be another way.

Hi Epa.
Another indication is this:
For the first time the number of TV sets are declining in the US people can no longer afford that new TV set and watch on their pc's!
I have maintained since 9/18/2008 that the new TV number was the key to watch.
Everyone WANTS a nice big flat screen.
No one NEEDS one.
It's a leading indicator of things getting REAL TOUGH
The Ryan plan is drawing fire because everyone w/half a lick of sense and one eye (sorry Osama) knows we are screwed.
It's the Kobayashi Maru.
We can't stop what we're doing financially/fiscally and we can't not stop.
