Another Fail In The Green Arena - This One Fatal

One of President Obama’s favorite ways to utterly transform America into a socialist, centrally controlled nightmare is to use his powers to regulate to force industry, especially, to adopt his oppressive societal changes. Here is a story of how one of the EPA’s changes to the ambulance manufacturing industry killed a man.

Obama’s Environmental Protection Agency recently mandated that a new emissions control devices be placed on vehicles with diesel engines. Consequently, the Washington D.C. fire department purchased a fleet of ambulances that have these federally mandated devices.

These emission control devices have been troublesome both in D.C. and across the country and ambulance crews have been complaining about them for months. The reason? The devices are so temperamental that they often shut down the vehicle’s engine. Yes, even if the ambulance is on a life saving mission, these devices can just simply turn the vehicle off putting patients in danger.

On May 30, one of these ambulances in D.C. was transporting a patient suffering from a gun shot wound when the emissions control device did what all ambulance drivers fear from these things; it shut the car down as paramedics were headed to the hospital with a dying patient.

It took the D.C. fire department seven minutes to dispatch another ambulance, but it was too late for Nathaniel McCray, 34. He died in the broken down vehicle as paramedics desperately tried to resuscitate him.

Of course, it is a bit hard to feel too badly for McCray, the guy that died in the broken down ambulance. He was a cop shooter who had been shot by police. Still, the fact is Obama killed this man with his mechanically unsound EPA emissions device. Imagine this: what if McCray wasn’t a cop-killing criminal but was your grandfather or your mother trying to get to the hospital where life-saving care awaited?

This is quite typical of Obama’s EPA, though. Since he came to office this out of control agency has issued thousands of pages of new regulations requiring mandates on all sorts of machines. But, the problem has been that in case after case Obama has simply mandated these new devices be made even when neither science nor technology is yet up to the task of satisfying his mandates. He is making thousands of rules based non-existant “science” and just expecting industry to suddenly pull new technology out of their rear ends to satisfy the regulations.

Obama’s entire regulatory regime is based on fantasy, not science or technology and it is all meant to destroy of business and manufacturing sector.

Take his false claims to be the “green jobs” president. This is another industry that barely even exists technologically. The science and technical know how to create so-called “green jobs” barely exists. Yet Obama has dumped billions of our tax dollars down this rat hole pretending that he is “creating jobs.” But in reality, a recent report showed that Obama has spent $12 for every so-called “Green Job” he’s created. This is simply a waste of tax dollars.
