Ha!

The Blaze:

It Turns Out the Type of Alcohol You Prefer Is a Good Indicator of Your Political Orientation

Which do you prefer: Light or dark spirits? As it turns out, your answer may be a good indicator of your political orientation.

According to new research, Democrats prefer clear drinks, while their Republican counterparts would rather enjoy a serving of brown liquor.

Liberals appear to like their Grey Goose and Smirnoff vodkas, while Republicans opt for Wild Turkey and Jim Beam whiskey.

Champagne? That appears to be a drink for individuals on the left.

But, the research doesn’t stop there — the type of wine an individual consumes may also shed some light into their voting habits.

Someone drinking a glass of Charles Shaw is likely to lean left, while a person enjoying a bottle of Kendall-Jackson probably votes Republican.

Nevertheless, some drinks appear to be enjoyed universally by Democrats and Republicans alike.

Jägermeister, The Glenlivet and Bailey’s are widely consumed by individuals identifying with both political parties.

The research was done based on data supplied by GFK MRI and analyzed by Jennifer Dube of the National Media Research Planning and Placement, according to the Washington Post.
