Wasn't Mitt Romney roundly ridiculed in one of the Presidential debates for warning against Russian revanchism? As I remember Obama practically guffawed at Romney's supposed idiocy and the NY Times immediately editorialized that Mitt was stuck in a 1980s mentality since the Republicans can't stop fighting the cold war. Russia and all was now and And anyway Obama and Hillary had "reset" our relations with forever copasetic unless / until we let the Republicans screw it all back up.
