Pope Francis to Greet Albanians in Open Car Despite ISIS Threats

Behind the scenes here at IBA, I've been telling Midnight Rider I think the Pope is going to be assassinated.

Unfortunately, I might be right:
Pope Francis is at risk of an assassination attempt by the Islamic extremists of Isil, the Vatican has been warned, ahead of his first visit to a Muslim-majority country this weekend.
As the 77-year-old pontiff prepares to travel to Albania on Sunday for a one-day visit, Iraq’s ambassador to the Holy See said there were credible threats against the pontiff’s life.
The leader of the Roman Catholic Church could also be vulnerable when he travels to Turkey in November, the ambassador said.
Jihadists from Isil have in recent weeks boasted of wanting to extend their caliphate to Rome, the heart of Western Christendom, and have talked of planting the jihadist black flag on top of St Peter’s Basilica.
Habeeb Al Sadr said there were also indications of a more specific threat against Pope Francis, who recently spoke out in favour of the US and its allies halting the advance of Isil in Syria and Iraq.

Let us pray he has realized what an idiot he has been about the Muslims and has chosen to present himself as a target knowing that nothing will galvanize the Christian world as much as a papal martyr.

Biggest mistake he ever made was to accept Erdogan's invitation to come visit Turkey, why would an Islamist invite the Pope?

Been saying since last week he's the target.

This Pope is a huge disappointment for the Catholic Church. Perhaps he is divinely guided to meet his fate so that the Church can make corrections. The Vatican as a whole needs a thorough house cleaning. Interesting times, indeed.

The new 'normal' will be far more difficult/challenging to adjust to if the powers that be insist on refusing to address the enemy appropriately.

Oh and more bombing raids against ISIS which will shatter their "expansionist" dreams. Sooner or later Egypt is just probably going to say "fuck it" and send their army in to clean up Obama's mess. And Saudi Arabia is going to be all too willing to fund that operation.

More Americans despise the Roman Catholic Church than despise Islam in any form no matter how radical.

The assassination of the Pope, or any prominent Christian figure, would be celebrated here in many quarters and often openly.

That may be so but my comment wasn't America-centric. No disrespect to Americans but because of Obama the world doesn't really look to America for guidance anymore.

The world we have now is more like a bunch of headless chickens running around. The assassination of the Pope will have the effect of "uniting" countries in Europe "more". And I use the word uniting carefully because that unity will not mean anything more meaningful other than "oh lets bomb them a little while we defend Islam".

I don't doubt that the American administration might remain indifferent but if the American public also remains indifferent to the Pope's assassination because "they hate the Catholic church", well then have fun dealing with your Muslim overlords in a not so distant future. I hate the Pope. The Pope is an idiot, an asshole and a moron all rolled into one. And I'm not Catholic. But when it comes right down to it, I'd take the Catholic church in its current form over Muzzie BS any day of the week. This shit should be common sense. But apparently its not.

As for the public in Europe. The more openly barbaric Muslims are, the more Muzzies lose support on the streets of Europe. That is fact on the ground. Sadly though in Europe that usually translates to "oh we hate Muslims, we hate all foreigners....lets unite behind the Nazi party!" so that is going to turn out to be bad for everybody.

I tend to expect any Muslim Jihadist group who is on a roll to over do it.

They will all, in my opinion, overshoot the mark, and reveal themselves to be the what they are; insane.

As Nico mentioned, this is what the Muslim Brotherhood did. It is what Al Qaeda did. And it is what ISIS will do.

I think.

I hope.

If not, we are in trouble
