Women's Rights is the "Decisive Point"

Using the strategy of "concentrating forces at the decisive point," which you can read about here, the question is, "What is the decisive point?" In a military battle, one good criteria for a decisive point of attack is where the enemy is weakest. In our goal of marginalizing, discrediting, and disempowering orthodox Islam, what is the biggest weakness of Islamic doctrine?

Answer: Women's rights.

In the time and place we now find ourselves, the most effective place to attack — the most effective place to discredit orthodox Islam — is on the topic of human rights for women. Islamic doctrine, as applied in Muslim-majority countries all over the world, and even as applied by immigrants in free countries, measurably and inhumanely restricts women's rights. Islamic fundamentalism and human rights for women are incompatible. Where you have one, you will not have the other.

But when we concentrate our forces on this decisive point, we must do it in a way that unites a huge majority of us, including some of those who still naively think Islam is just one of many similar religions. So this has to be done skillfully.

I believe that's what Ayaan Hirsi Ali has done with the documentary, Honor Diaries. The production value of the film is very high. The women chosen for the film are acceptable to mainstream multiculturalists. The film doesn't feel anti-Islam. I think most of the people who see this film wouldn't feel it attacks Islam. And yet it effectively exposes orthodox Islam as a cruel, outdated, extremely misogynistic ideology that should be marginalized, discredited, and disempowered wherever it shows its ugly head.

In other words, Honor Diaries has the potential to push a major axiom of the counterjihad movement into the mainstream. The film may cause this fundamental position of the counterjihad community to shed its "fringe" stigma forevermore.

The approach is brilliant and the film is outstanding. We should use it as a weapon against the ignorance that now keeps our population vulnerable to creeping Sharia.

The Good Must Associate: Key Strategies in the Counterjihad Movement

To prevail against orthodox Islam's relentless encroachment, we need to employ three essential strategies: gather allies, coordinate our efforts, and concentrate our forces at decisive points. Let me explain these in more detail:

1. Gather allies. A large number of orthodox Muslims are working toward Islam's prime directive. Obviously three counterjihadists will not prevail against such a large, organized group. We need numbers. The more allies we have on our side, the greater our chances of winning.

If three of us demonstrate outside a mosque, and five hundred Muslims protest our demonstration, we will look like a small, unpopular fringe group and the Muslims will look like the mainstream majority opinion. This kind of thing has a psychological impact on anyone watching this on television because of the principle of social proof. But if five hundred Muslims demonstrate and ten thousand counterjihadists protest their demonstration, it sends an entirely different message to anyone watching on television or participating in the demonstration. Numbers count.

That's why it is so crucial to educate people about Islam. We need more people on our side.

Many Citizen Warrior readers took to heart the article, Facebook Allies, and applied the principle, and it made a difference. The purpose of the article was to solve a problem counterjihadists were having on Facebook — they would share something about Islam, and their Facebook friends and family would gang up on them, arguing, criticizing them, and defending Islam. It was upsetting to a lot of counterjihadists. It made them feel isolated and alone. And to their friends and family, it made them look like factious, disaffected loners who needed to be straightened out by the "sensible majority."

So people went to counterjihad Facebook pages (here is a list of them) and read comments and posts, looking for allies, and friended them. Then when any of their allies posted something on their personal Facebook page about Islam, they would receive lots of support and "likes" and approving comments from their allies, and if one of their family members criticized it, their allies would jump in and defend it, and each ally does that for each other.

This feels a lot better, is much less upsetting, and has a greater impact on anyone reading. The original poster no longer appears as an isolated agitator, but rather has become a spokesperson for a popular, supported point of view. The key strategy at work here is gaining allies.

This is one of the reasons ACT! for America is such an important organization to the counterjihad movement. As Brigitte Gabriel says, when the ACT! for America lobbyist walks into a senator's office in Washington, D.C. she can say she represents an organization of almost a million voters, and that's enough to make a senator listen! If the lobbyist represented an organization of forty people, would a senator take the time to listen? Not likely. They are busy people. Numbers give clout.

2. Coordinate efforts. If there were a hundred thousand active counterjihadists, but each worked on different projects, we wouldn't accomplish much. But if most of us worked on a few central projects, those projects would be much more likely to succeed.

That's what we did by writing to Councilwoman Deborah Pauly (see story here). She was vilified by Muslim groups and the media. She probably felt outnumbered, and for many people, that would make them hesitant to speak up again. On the other hand, if she heard from thousands of people who support her and encourage her, it could embolden her to continue her outspoken resistance to creeping Sharia. Coordinated efforts could make the difference.

ACT! for America is using this principle masterfully with their Legislative Action Center. It has made it very easy to make our voices heard by the right people on specific issues. It helps coordinate counterjihad efforts.

3. Concentrate force at a decisive point. This is where allies and coordination can have their greatest impact. In the book, How to Win on the Battlefield, the authors write, "The concentration of force was regarded by Clausewitz as the first and highest principle of war. He reiterated that, at the operational level, commanders had to concentrate maximum force, which in his day equated to all available troops, at the decisive point; it was essential to overwhelm and break the enemy physically and morally."

Many times in history, a military force was outnumbered and yet won the battle. Often it was because the principle of concentration of force does not require absolute superiority in numbers. It only requires a local superiority at a decisive point.

When women were fighting to gain the vote in the United States, for example, they had to get 36 states to ratify the Nineteenth Amendment to the Constitution. Women's suffrage organizations sent organizers from all over the country to the state that was considering the legislation at that moment, thus concentrating their forces at the decisive point.

That is what we must do. The big question for all of us is, of course, "What is the decisive point?" As Brian Tracy said in Victory: "Determining the right time and place requires a combination of judgment, timing," and good information (good "intel").

We're getting much better information now than we did at the beginning of the modern counterjihad movement, and we're getting it much faster. And through our formal and informal networks, we are collectively making good judgments on where to concentrate our forces. Some calls for action are shared far and wide, and some fizzle out, as each person essentially "votes" on the proposal (by either forwarding or deleting).

Our networks are getting bigger. Our numbers are growing. And we're getting more and more organized. It's time to look at strategy. We can each begin by deliberately applying the three principles above. When you're thinking about some event or thinking about potential actions you might take, ask yourself, "How can I apply the three key strategies to this situation?" It will give you effective ideas and ways to proceed.

Edmund Burke once wrote, "When bad men combine, the good must associate; else they will fall, one by one, an unpitied sacrifice in a contemptible struggle."

So let us associate, let's organize, let's concentrate our forces, and let's win.

"That’s the kind of sentiment you expect from a Miss America contestant”

Charlie Krauthammer on Barack Obama saying:
“The United States does not view Europe as a battleground between East and West, nor do we see the situation in Ukraine as a zero-sum game. That’s the kind of thinking that should have ended with the Cold War.”
— Barack Obama, March 24
Should. Lovely sentiment. As lovely as what Obama said five years ago to the United Nations: “No one nation can or should try to dominate another nation.”
That’s the kind of sentiment you expect from a Miss America contestant asked to name her fondest wish, not from the leader of the free world explaining his foreign policy.
The East Europeans know they inhabit the battleground between the West and a Russia that wants to return them to its sphere of influence. Ukrainians see tens of thousands of Russian troops across their border and know they are looking down the barrel of quite a zero-sum game.
Obama thinks otherwise. He says that Vladimir Putin’s kind of neo-imperialist thinking is a relic of the past — and advises Putin to transcend the Cold War.
Good God. Putin hasn’t transcended the Russian revolution. Did no one give Obama a copy of Putin’s speech last week upon the annexation of Crimea?

“JUIFS - leave and re-enter through a back door to appease palestinians”

Jews are not the target of hate because of what Israel does or does not do. Israel is the target of such hate because it is full of Jews

PARIS, Israeli students visiting a Paris university were asked to leave and re-enter through a back door to appease pro-Palestinian demonstrators.
The request came from the president of the Paris VIII University, after 50 members of the anti-Israel Boycotts, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement protested against their presence.
The Israelis were in Paris as part of a tour of French universities organised by the Union of Jewish Students in France (UEJF), designed to improve the image of Israel abroad and encourage dialogue on campus.
They had already visited universities in Lyon, Bordeaux and Assas without incident. But when they arrived at Paris VIII, where they had arranged to erect a stand and hold a conference, the protestors set up their own stand and lobbied students to boycott the conference.
UEJF president Sacha Reingewirtz said: They were chanting ‘Zionists get out,’ and ‘Zionists are criminals’. They were insulting, intimidating and trying to prevent students coming to our stand.”
One of the Israelis, Dan Taieb, said the protesters entered every lecture theatre to tell students not to attend the conference. As a result the meeting was cancelled.
The Israelis were invited to meet the university president, Danielle Tartakowsky, but were told they had to use a back door to get to her office.
Mr Taieb said: “She agreed to welcome us but she wanted us to go out of the main gate to show the protesters that we were leaving and then security would take us to a private gate behind the university to come back in.”
The group refused to comply. Mr Taieb said: “In Israel we don’t discriminate against students. Jews, Arabs — all students come through the same gate.”
Instead Ms Tartakowsky met members of the UEJF, to whom she apologised.
The university did not respond to a request for comment.

Kobe Bryant Sparks Controversy Again!!!

I love Kobe Bryant because I love the Lakers.  But, whereas some Lakers have made that equation difficult to maintain, Kobe makes it easy.   He has consistently been a patriot, talking on and on about his pride in representing America in the olympics.  As such, I have written about Kobe being a great culturist on this blog before.

But now Kobe has come out against the Miami Stinkers' knee-jerk, race-based support for Trayvon Martin.  This view confounds all the race-solidarity kooks that run in our circles.  Kobe was raised in Italy.  He avoided liberal indoctrination.  He is as patriotic as anyone who reads this blog.

Read about Kobe and Trayvon HERE and cheer!!

UK Telegraph reader says Law Society should withdraw its approval for sharia

A correspondent to the UK Telegraph speaks truth to power, but for now, it could all be wishful thinking:
SIR – Sadikur Rahman expresses concern at the Law Society’s choice to issue a practice note to solicitors for drawing up “sharia-compliant” wills that conform to Islamic law. If we are serious about having the same law for all, then parallel legal systems must be prohibited, including all religious courts and tribunals.

Sharia laws are inherently discriminatory
. This was recognised by Britain’s highest court in 2008, when the government attempted to remove a woman and child to Lebanon. In a 5—0 ruling, the Law Lords argued that there was no place in sharia for the equal treatment of the sexes and it would be a “flagrant breach” of the European Convention on Human Rights for the government to remove a woman to Lebanon, where she would lose custody of her son because of sharia-inspired family law.

Unfortunately, in the same year, Lord Chief Justice Phillips, who later became President of the British Supreme Court, mistakenly argued the opposite during a speech, “Equality before the law”, at the East London Muslim Centre: “There is no reason why principles of sharia law, or any other religious code, should not be the basis for mediation or other forms of alternative dispute resolution.” This doubtless encouraged advocates of sharia-compliant laws and the Law Society.

The Law Society must withdraw its discriminatory and divisive guidance.
But alas, knowing how this country works, it could all be wishful thinking. The National Secular Society says this step by the Law Society is only creating division, and the UK Mirror says it only means less human rights, especially for women.

Lt. Gen. McInerey: Why Did #MH370 Pilot Go South? It Just Doesn’t Make Any Sense

Lt. Gen. McInerey: Why Did #MH370 Pilot Go South? It Just Doesn’t Make Any Sense (Video)

It is not normal for a Muslim to commit suicide and take 238 people with him.So it’s starting to change its complexion. But we must error on the national security side if, in fact, we don’t find records then I would not let our guard down… It’s much better for the United States and its allies if he did go down there and commit suicide…Why did he have to go down there? That’s what doesn’t pass the common sense test.
Few notable inconsistencies to note:

1. Recall that Pilot MADE 'mystery' phone call before MH370 left Kuala Lumpur

2. Police deny British tabloid’s report that MH370 pilot RECEIVED phone call before take-off"

3. Note the "Shah family" photo, an image provided by media of Captain Zaharie Ahmad Shah & family

4. Contrast that image with the following images and quote from this Captain's youngest son provided by the UK DailyMail:

Flight 370 pilot's son dismisses speculation via UK DailyMail:
"I've read everything online. But I've ignored all the speculation. I know my father better," Ahmad Seth Zaharie, 26, said in an interview published Thursday by the New Straits Times, an English-language Malaysian newspaper."

The first image of this Captain's 'family' implies his YOUNGEST son is in the photo. That image appears to be of a young boy who is less than five years old. Yet the quote is provided by a young man of twenty six years of age, Ahmad Seth, claiming to be his youngest son. The Captain appears to be the same age in both photos.

Putin has Re-Awakened Russian Messianism, Pastukhov Says

Putin has Re-Awakened Russian Messianism, Pastukhov Says

Staunton, March 26 – By his annexation of Crimea, Vladimir Putin has re-awakened the imperial dimension of Russian messianism, a force that has been contained since 1991 but that now will lead to ever-broader conflicts that will lead either to a Russian victory over all its supposed enemies or the collapse of Russia, Vladimir Pastukhov says.
But at the same time, another form of Russian messianism, a concern with universal social justice, is also being re-awakened, and that represents a potentially even more serious challenge to Putin’s system than the imperial messianism which because of his victory in Crimea is making him into “the messiah” for many Russians, the St. Antony’s College expert adds.
In an article in Novaya Gazeta 25 March, Pastukhov points out that Russia today is populated by “a different people” than it was “all of a month ago,” a people who are “inspired” by a vision which gives them the messianic role that they as a nation have always craved .
“Russians do not fulfil a mission, all the more so when it is unfulfillable; they live it and are its function,” the historian says. Instead, “the missionary spirit was and apparently remains the moving force of Russian history.” It is part of “the Russian subconscious,” and Putin has “re-awakened” in Russians this “beast.”
What is surprising and requires comment, Pastukhov says, is that this messianism was asleep for “a quarter of a century,” an “insanely long” period “for the Russian cultural code” and one that reflects “the deep depression and historical shock which the Russian people experienced after the disintegration of the USSR.”
But if the messianic spirit was sleeping, it did not disappear, and one can identify the forces that have roused it. First among them is the West and the United States which behaved in ways that have given rise to the Weimar syndrome which has awoken in the Russian soul the very same instincts which moved the Germans after their defeat in World War I.”
The winners of the Cold War didn’t think it necessary to create a new Marshall Plan, he says. They didn’t think they had to meet the interests of Russia even half-way on “any of the issues that were psychologically significant” for Russians either within their country or in their former allies. Moreover, the West acted in an extremely “casuistic” way with regard to following “the norms of international law.” It did when it suited its interests but not when it suited Russia’s or anyone else’s. And others, like Ukraine, also made a contribution to re-awakening Russian messianism by their actions as well.

Why Has No One Asked Metron - The Firm Who Found Air France 447 - To Help Find MH370?

Math wizards stand ready to join Malaysia Airlines search

No one has yet asked Metron, a scientific consulting firm, to join the search for the missing Boeing 777, the same firm which helped locate Air France Flight 447, which crashed into the Atlantic in 2009 with 228 on board, the target was its flight data recorder lying at the bottom of the ocean. Metron mathematicians successfully narrowed down the search area to a circle about 80 miles (130 kilometers) in diameter so that undersea drones could recover it in May 2011.
"That's practically a flyspeck compared to the vastness of the remote section of the Indian Ocean where the Malaysian authorities suspect MH370 crashed.

Why Don't We Yet Have The Shooter's Name?

The slain sailor: Master-at-Arms 2nd Class Mark A. Mayo

Are we all aware that THIS happened on Monday, March 24, 2014, on a destoyer at the Norfolk Naval Base in Virginia?

Excerpt from the above link (Note the usual disclaimer about ties to terrorism):
NORFOLK, Va. — The civilian accused of killing a military police officer on a destroyer docked at a naval base here may have gotten on base with federally approved credentials, but he was not authorized to be there, the Navy said Wednesday.

The Navy did not identify the man, who was killed after he overpowered a guard Monday on the USS Mahan, and said the details of his access to Naval Station Norfolk remain under investigation.

"His transportation workers ID card was valid," said Capt. Robert Clark, the base's commanding officer. "He did not have authorization to be on my base."

The investigation, which is ongoing, has not unearthed any links to terrorist groups nor evidence that any attack was planned, said Mario Palomino, special agent in charge at the Naval Criminal Investigative Service Norfolk field office.

Nor have investigators determined a motive, Palomino said. The suspect had no known ties to the ship or anyone on the ship, which has a crew of about 300....
Two people are dead: the sailor pictured at the top of this blog post and the perpetrator.

As of the time of this posting, why we do not have the shooter's name? My first thought: perhaps his digital footprint is being scrubbed before his name is released.

Cruz: Ivan is having a good public laugh

"The only thing Putin respects is strength … At this point the Russians are openly laughing at the president," Cruz, R-Texas, told the Washington Examiner.
Cruz added that Putin’s aggressiveness was “a direct consequence” of the absence of American leadership in the world.
"The weakness and incoherent foreign policy of the Obama administration — from President Obama, under Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and under Secretary [John] Kerry — has undermined our allies and has strengthened our enemies and put Putin in particular in a far stronger position,” Cruz declared.
Obama can get the job, but he can’t DO the job, and he just plain doesn’t LIKE the compulsory parts of the job that make a success.
But he sure likes the putting greens and Air Force 1

House Armed Services Committee send letter to Obama: WORRY ABOUT THE BALTICS

Republican members of the House Armed Services Committee late Wednesday sent a classified letter to the White House expressing concern about unfolding developments.
An unclassified version obtained by CNN said committee members feel “urgency and alarm, based on new information in the committee’s possession.”
The committee said there was “deep apprehension that Moscow may invade eastern and southern Ukraine, pressing west to Transdniestria and also seek land grabs in the Baltics.”

The Baltic states ARE NATO. Any land action there would be Article 5, requiring US and NATO action to defend them, OR the end of NATO.

Reid: Obamacare extension necessary because people don’t get how to use that internet thingamajig

OMG:
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D., Nev.) said the fault of struggling to sign up on the Obamacare exchanges didn’t lie with the faulty website, but with the people who weren’t “educated on how to use the Internet.”
Explaining the reasoning behind the latest Obamacare delay, Reid said too many people just didn’t know to use their computer properly and needed more time. Apparently, it had nothing to do with the well-documented failings of the website that have embarrassed the White House for months.
God, please, save us from these people. Please.

Some bad news about the Ukraine for NATO and American credibility

StrategyPage:
Most of the world condemns Russian aggression against Ukraine and the seizure of Ukrainian territory (Crimea). The UN charter forbids such actions, as does a treaty Russia signed in 1994 promising Ukraine that Russia would never seize any Ukrainian territory. This solemn promise was in return for Ukraine giving up the Soviet nuclear weapons in its territory. The agreement that broke up the Soviet Union in 1991 stipulated that Russia and the 14 new countries created (by the half of the Soviet population leaving the empire for independence) would keep whatever Soviet weapons and other state assets were on their territory.

That was simple and straightforward but it left Ukraine with over 2,000 nuclear weapons plus 176 ICBMs, 44 heavy bombers and over a thousand nuclear weapon equipped cruise missiles used by the heavy bombers. Ukraine could have been a major nuclear power but it gave it all up for guarantees to its territory from NATO and Russia plus a lot of cash (including the expense of removing the nukes and related equipment)

guarantees to its territory from NATO” Okay?
Ron Paul: ‘So they took the Crimea, SO WHAT?’
So then …
China is watching this carefully because China is violating an international maritime borders treaty it signed by claiming all of the South China Sea. What happens to Russia for violating the 1994 treaty will influence what China does with its numerous offshore territorial disputes. Another problem with violating the 1994 treaty is the message it sends to states like Iran. The message is that if you really want to keep invaders out you need nukes. Iranians believe the negotiations to limit Iranian nuclear research and development are an effort to block Iran from getting nuclear weapons. Most Iranians see nukes as a necessity for maintaining Iranian dominance in the region. Iran has been the regional superpower for thousands of years. Once you get a taste of superpower status, it’s a hard thing to put behind you.
Now we can’t go to war every time borders change somewhere, but you also don’t make a guarantee you don’t keep without expecting some VERY, VERY bad things to happen.
I mean, as Ron Paul would say, so Israel gets wiped off the map, so what? We still smoke our briskets, right? So the Philippines gets ramrodded by China over some fish and oil, so what? So Japan loses the Senkakus, so what? They can live without them and it’s not our security at stake, so what? And if Australia aligns more with China for their own future after that, what the hell, they are far away, and I can still buy my boneless breast of chicken and stick’em on the grill with my corn, right? So the Chinese have a base in Nicaragua and Venezuela, they are all independent countries, right?
I mean we can’t go to war over all these stupid things, right?
We don’t have to. We just have to be too stupid to know what’s impossible without going to war. And to accomplish that we have ot have a very different attitude.
The attitude of the losers who elected this COMPLETE failure, this incompetent amateur is that OF A LOSER.
We either change, or we lose our allies. We lead or we do not. There is no leading from behind. That’s what a dreamer says.
Our president is a dreamer and SO ARE THOSE EUCHRED FOOLS WHO VOTED FOR HIM.
