I learned an interesting anecdote today.

The Dickie Betts penned Allman Bros tune "In Memory of Elizabeth Reed is not really about Elizabeth Reed, who actually died in the 1930s, its really in Memory of Dickie banging Boz Scaggs' girlfriend and future wife Carmella on top of Elizabeth Reed's tombstone in a cemetery in Macon.

NICE!

I used to play that tune with a band in High School back when I was about 15.

Great times.

Starts slowly, setting the mood, then builds a little more with the foreplay, excitement and frenzy in the soaring solo/crescendo then the afterwards smoke and smack on the rump.

Bolero revisited.

Thanks for that visual, RT.

I may never listen to that tune the same way again.
