Italy's Wealthiest Region Bans The Burqa

Ban Burqa Bitches

As it should be:
Italy’s wealthiest region has just banned women from wearing burqas and niqabs in hospitals or government buildings.
The new law has been brought in the wake of ‘serious terror attacks’ in Europe in recent months, according to local officials in Lombardy.
Announcing the new rules prohibiting the Islamic veils, Simona Bordonali, head of security in the region, told Il Fatto Quotidiano: ‘Whoever wants to enter a hospital in Lombardy must be recognisable and present themselves uncovered… The burqa [and the] niqab are therefore banned.’
A burqa is a full top-to-toe covering, while the niqab is a full veil which leaves only the eyes visible.
The move has been condemned by religious leaders for spreading hate and division in a time of growing Islamophobia across Europe.
‘For me the burqa and niqab aren’t anything to do with Islam: they are merely cultures that belong to certain traditions and regions of the Muslim world,’ Mouelhi Mohsen, a Milan-based Imam, told The Local. ‘Either way, people shouldn’t be forced not to wear an item of clothing by anyone. These kinds of policies just help spread fear and ignorance.’
The ban has also been strongly rejected by the rest of Italy. Andrea Orlando, Italy’s justice minister, said: ‘Right now the last thing we need is to wave symbols about and make propaganda – a domain in which the Islamist extremists are unbeatable.’
Governors of other Italian regions also made clear to Il Fatto Quotidiano that they would not be following suit.
GO READ THE WHOLE THING.

Banning the burqa is no way to address the threat posed by Islam either to non-muslims or to muslim women.

If one is to ban anything - ban the entire doctrine which is the foundation for this garment.

If I said, to start off, we should take back Lebanon, Syria, and Iraq from the Muslims. They used to be Christian territories, you'd says, "Good idea."

That's what Banning the Burqa is. It's a good idea and it takes some cultural territory away from Jihadists.

Get it?

There is no bargaining with Islam. It's all or nothing - as history has revealed at Lepanto, Gates of Vienna, Barbary Coast... So, let's just agree to disagree.

I don't think of it as bargaining. But apparently what you're saying is half measures will avail us nothing. Either we kick them all out, or we lose.

Well put, cjk.

About half-measures...CAIR is the result of half measures. No matter how many dead and maimed lie in in wake after each blood letting episode of devout muhammedan explication, CAIR and the msm step up the pre-emptive defense of the vast majority of non-violent muhammedans. Stephen Coughlin discusses this usurpation of concern for innocents. Brigitte Gabrielle exposes the irrelevance of the 'peaceful majority' throughout recent history.
So, yes, my position is firmly in the camp of banning the doctrine of Islam. Those who are legally here in the USA need to be forced to chose. Apostatize and accept the doctrine-of-eternal-war is permanently banned in this country, self-deport or be forcefully deported.
