The Sad Legacy of Barack Obama is encapsulated by the New Black Panthers

I won’t go into the sad litany of chances Barack Obama had in 8 years to lead races to a single point, or the chance he had to do it as the first President who happened to be not blanco. We all know the list.

I don’t know what was/is in his heart that drives hm to divide rather than unify. I don’t even know if he acknowledges that we have be DRIVEN apart from each other.

But I do know that we are further apart.

I know that there is more hate and fear, anger and disillusionment and what is going on with the police in the USA is simply the expression point.

White Privilege

Black Lives Matter

Not, equal opportunity for all

Not, all lives matter

So amid the questions, and perceptions in the black community (and if they think they are alone in asking questions, THEY ARE WRONG) that they are singled out for repression and thought of as less than white (or latino, asian and ??), by cops who are white, black, asian, latino, sikh, and god  knows what else there are certain facts.

This president, OUR president could have begun this era with proof he was color blind over a small but telling case in Phila when the New Black Panthers showed up with ‘police’ batons at voting booths the DAY of the 2008 election in an OBVIOUS attempt to intimidate voters.

He and his attorney general refused this chance.

And now 8 years later, we have the Dallas terrorist(s?), a member of the New Black Panthers expressing his hate for white people in this nation and especially white cops (as he shot whites, black and latinos..naturally) and mentioning Black Lives Matter (who are as responsible as Richard Butler was for Victoria and Jason Keenan. Purposeful incitement has consequence)

But the sad bookends now, of the lost UNIQUE chance this UNIQUE President (only one first) had are now history, and historic.

We have all lost.

Equally.

Obama and the people he attracts are all about getting even and settling scores. Such an agenda has the benefit of leading a society from the rule of law to the rule of power. So it suits both his racial and political orientations.

No, I can't tell you what is Obama's heart either, but by his actions I can assume that his motivations are collection of long nurtured grievances, grudges, and resentments.
The man can truly hate.

I very rarely watch "Hannity," but last night I had a touch of insomnia.

I couldn't believe what I was hearing from a few of the protesters in Baton Rouge. This morning, I watched the rerun of "Hannity" to make sure that I had heard what I thought I had heard.

One middle-aged black man screamed, "The problem is that there isn't a law against a white man killing a black man in this country! We want a law made that a white man can't kill a black man!"

And another, a much younger man: "The problem is that we depend on the white man's dollar. We need our own schools, our own banks..."

Yet two more (a man and a woman, so I'm paraphrasing here): "We want justice. The fact of the matter is that we have the video. What more due process do we need?"

And people keep saying that we need to have a conversation. HOW?
