The church in Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray |
This morning, we have reports that an octogenarian priest was murdered inside a church in Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray in Normandy. Two attackers wielding knives took five hostages, including the priest. The attackers have been killed by the police.
Some reports state that the priest was beheaded; other reports state that the priest's throat was cut.

The sons of Allah doing what the sons of Allah do? Probably. The story is still developing.

one of the attackers shouted 'Daesh'???
We were told that Western powers-that-be preferred the derogatory term 'Daesh' as it removed any clear indication of Islam being related to terror and the group otherwise known as IS/ISIS/ISIL. 'Daesh' allegedly is a term IS/ISIL/ISIS hates because it is an acronym for an Arabic phrase
ad-Dawlah al-Islamiyah al-Iraq al-Sham which means Islamic State of Iraq & Levant and is very similar to the derogatory word 'daes' which means someone who sews discord.
Here in the latest horror reported from Normandy, France we read that the terrorists themselves shouted "Daesh" prior to launching this attack?
Anyone else find this peculiar?

"Motive unknown".
Of course! Shouting to their god, slaughtering a priest.
Motive unknown.
How to "not" win a war.
Buddhists again
The motive is known: that Islam was the trigger.
I wonder if there has been an order given from higher up that police are no longer allowed to comment on the motive or to report what's going on. Many other attacks that we're not hearing about.

Yes, I did think of that, and I do find it peculiar. But I did not remember what the inappropriate word was.
Thanks for posting your comment. I will add it to the post.
UKSun: CHURCH WAS ON ISIS HIT LIST Catholic church where priest was murdered was among several targets found on suspected jihadi arrested last year
A list was discovered on suspected ISIS terrorist Sid Ahmed Ghlam who was arrested last April amid fears he was planning more attacks in France
...
Documents found at his flat and in a search of his computer and telephone, suggested Ghlam was in contact with a French speaker in Syria who had ordered him to carry out attacks on churches.
These included the Sacre-Couer basilica in Paris, and places of worship including the one in Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray targeted today.
Folks, they are afraid if it's all out there and common knowledge ..it'll be 1618 in a snap.
AND IT SHOULD BE
