His career totally changed with the Koln Concert.

Utterly and completely.

It's like he became himself all at once.

He worked with Charles Lloyd and Miles Davis in the 60's and did some interesting stuff in the early 70's, but he wasn't really Keith Jarrett until the Koln Concert.
