Has government "of the people, by the people" evaporated? As the linked article said, the wall was the central pillar of [Trump's] campaign.
If the GOP blocks Trump on this, he will not win re-election and, one would hope, neither will the GOP members who voted to block the building of the wall.
I expect to see these arguments from those opposing the wall.

This is what the blogger Ace of Spades calls FAILURE THEATER.
FAILURE THEATER is what our elected representatives do when they don't want to actually carry out the will of the people who elect them. They put on a show of attempting to get a bill passed, but then fail at it.
It is my theory that they divvy up between themselves who will have to be on the side that takes the blame for the failure. They trade off failure votes between themselves, "here, you have to it this time, because I was on the winning side last time, and if i am always on the side against my constituents, then I won't be able to get re-elected, so it's your turn."
Is it possible we might have to just start killing these people as soon as they start to "fail."
It seems we are past the point at which we can wait.
These people are in active treason against the will of the people and the Constitution of the United States.
Elections don't work. There is no reasonable option that I can see.
Anyone got any other suggestions?

I hate to do this but... it's "exponentially." The log is the inverse.
Personally, I would just consider Bernie to be on the list of people I would prefer to see choke on their own vomit at this point; McCain, Pelosi, Schumer, McMaster, Paul Ryan, etc.
