Yesterday’s rifle attack, in which Congressmen Steve Scalise was seriously injured, is only the latest expression of politically-motivated hatred and violence.Our organization, American Renaissance, has created an interactive map of nearly 200 acts of violence and hatred against Donald Trump supporters that have taken place since he declared his candidacy.These crimes include two homicides, two attempted homicides, 10 cases of arson, 26 aggravated assaults, and 75 assaults.
The attempted murder of a congressman has naturally attracted national attention, but we should not forget the political hatred that led to the deaths of Mitchell Mormon and William Schumacher. They are just two of the victims of political hatred included in the American Renaissance interactive database.
