FBI admits it didn’t investigate tip on alleged school shooter last month

The FBI was warned last month that Nikolas Cruz was an armed psycho who might shoot up a school — but it didn’t bother investigating, the agency admitted Friday.
“A person close to” Cruz called the agency’s tipline on Jan. 5 and reported the 19-year-old had a “desire to kill people, erratic behavior, and disturbing social media posts” and there was “potential of him conducting a school shooting,” the FBI said in a statement.
But the agency said it failed to pass on any of that information to its Miami field office, even thought its own protocols say he “should have been assessed as a potential threat to life.”
A little over a month later, on Wednesday, Cruz allegedly gunned down 17 people at his former high school.

ISIS propaganda chiefs called on lone wolves in the US to use the AR-15 rifle the day before Florida school shooter Nikolas Cruz used the same weapon to carry out his massacre.

The Florida shooter – believed to have links to a far-right group – also used the easily-available weapon to murder 17 people on Wednesday.

An ISIS propaganda poster released on the net on Tuesday urged followers to: 'Select a high place. Therefore you will have a great angle of vision to direct shots.'

It's not just the FBI that failed 17 families yesterday....it's Broward County policy to intentionally fail it's constituents:

September 22, 2013 SunSentinel: Deputies cut back on teen arrests
From the pulpit of Mount Bethel Baptist, Broward Sheriff Scott Israel preached a short message last Sunday that the congregants hadn't heard before: We're going to stop arresting so many teenagers in this county.
"We have to measure our success by the amount of kids we keep out of jail, not the amount of kids we put in jail," Israel said, and the congregation broke into applause. "We can't let one speed bump or one hiccup in life preclude them from getting a job."

The troubled teen authorities say killed 17 people at a Florida high school excelled in an air-rifle marksmanship program supported by a grant from the National Rifle Association Foundation, part of a multimillion-dollar effort by the gun group to support youth shooting clubs.

Nikolas Cruz, 19, was wearing a maroon shirt with the logo from the Army Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps program at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School when he was arrested Wednesday shortly after the shooting. Former JROTC cadets told The Associated Press that Cruz was a member of the small varsity marksmanship team that trained together after class and traveled to other area schools to compete.

“He was a very good shot,” said Aaron Diener, 20, who gave Cruz a ride to shooting competitions when they were part of the same four-member team in 2016. “He had an AR-15 he talked about, and pistols.”

Records show that the Stoneman Douglas JROTC program received $10,827 in non-cash assistance from the NRA’s fundraising and charitable arm in 2016, when Cruz was on the squad.

The actions of a criminal should have no bearing on my rights. Anyone who thinks differently is a totalitarian at heart.
