Mike Pence went to Ecuador end of June -> beginning of July. Ecuador-US relations have been strained over the past few years so it was interesting that Pence went there. The purpose of the visit was ostensibly to talk trade and the situation in Venezuela. The
talks were said to have been “constructive”.
Oh, and Julian Assange (founder, WikiLeaks) came up. You’ll recall that Julian Assange has been holed up in the Ecuador embassy in London for the past number of years.
