Hmm ...

THE FIRES OF ATHENS...

Inferno rages...

'Biblical disaster'...

Drones hunt 'criminal' arsonists...

growing speculation that the infernos may be the result of arson, reports local news outlet Ekathimerini. One of the deadly fires started about 30 miles west of Athens in Kineta, while the other, which broke out Monday from as-yet-undetermined causes, is in Mati which is northeast of the capital near Rafina. The fires spread rapidly into packed tourists areas in popular holiday seaside areas, trapped those who were in their cars or homes.

I agree, AOW. I'm very suspicious of this. Will the Greek government be willing to acknowledge if Muslim invaders are found to be behind this?

Good grief, it looks like the accounts of the Bay of Naples coast with Vesuvius going off.

The area is vulnerable to wildfires, which are said to be a yearly problem. I did a "google maps street view tour" of Mati and one of the first things I noticed was a structure that is obviously an observation "fire tower". Arsonists would be aware of this.
