I was adopted, so I do not have the same sense of racial or ethnic pride that others might.
Additionally, as an American, I do not identify with race, or ethnicity, as much as I do a shared American ideal, based upon an incredible American history of the perpetual establishment, and ever-deeper defining, of Liberty and Justice.
This being said, I do understand why Europeans, or the peoples of other nations around the world, would have pride and love for their ways of life. And I am ok with that.
But, I am not ok with other cultures staging incursions against our culture, whether it be from Islam or Neo-Marxist revolutionaries.
