The first thing to notice is the moral position taken by the Woke Progressives. They presume to own and control the moral high ground. They clearly take the position that progressives determine what is moral and what is not.
Moreover, see how progressives hide behind the laws they pass. The pattern goes like this: pass a law and then any implementation, no matter how much it offends parents, is something the public must accept, because after all it is the law. We must not allow anyone to declare the law to be tyrannous, null and void. Not permitted.
In another venue, on another day, on a different subject, Woke Progressives seek the support of Muslims for political issues. This is because both parties want to destroy the vestiges of Christian morality and influence in society. In the case of this BBC report, this is the society that about 400 years ago gave us the most widely read book in all of human history, the Bible authorized by no less than the King of England, James.
Now it can be a hate crime to read from that very text in public. That is how far the English peoples and especially the elites of England have repudiated God. Well things will not be pleasant when God repudiates them. If there is no God, then what is the worry? But He lives and He is not pleased. There are a lot of episodes in the history of Israel where God blessed them, where Israel turned their backs on God, and where God turned His back on them until they could not stand the treatment they received at the hands of other nations. The lesson is sobering.
And that lesson could be sooner than anyone imagines. Instead of being invaded and carried off as slaves, the modern surveillance-state, cashless, body-scanned, ubiquitous facial recognition, high tax version of slavery is already close at hand. Just notice how the Chinese are treating a million Uyghurs. Notice how little the UK government needs to add to their surveillance/police state to turn the entire island into one big Xinjiang province. Sort of like being "enslaved in place" by a government composed of an increasing percent of non-English people, people who are hostile to English history, English values and especially to Christian values.
Smug Woke Progressives will think this is just fine, until the increasing Muslim minority becomes sufficiently powerful. Then they will get experience the Full Muslim, a wrath and rage that no progressive is ready nor able to counter. As much as Progressive-ism is a religion, it has no eternal reward. A happy eternity in heaven with wine and virgins beats a sustainable organic diet any day. Of the two, which are people willing to die for?
