All of us, every single man, woman, and child on the face of the Earth were born with the same unalienable rights; to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. And, if the governments of the world can't get that through their thick skulls, then, regime change will be necessary.

One of my favorites. Saw them multiple times in the Seventies: Opening for the Dead with Garcia on steel, a couple of tour stops with Buddy Cage and a late decade show with Commander Cody's Bobby Black on board. Always good. Best damn band logo too. Still have the T shirt.
A re-formed edition of the band came through town about 10 years ago. Buddy Cage was back. Cage and Nelson came out to the bar, had a few drinks, and answered a few questions. (Where's John Dawson? Whereabouts unknown but tokin' wherever he be! LOL). Buddy (RIP) was stone deaf.
I grew up in up almost totally white Orange County California. However I always loved R&B and Jazz. I remember a friend of mine asking me, when I was 14 years old, "Why do you only listen to black people music?"
It wasn't really true. I loved Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd, Elton John and David Bowie, but yeah, I mostly listened to "black people music."

I bet.
I'm half deaf myself. LOL
I like this stuff. I had barely listened to them when I was younger.
Well sir...I had the benefit of growing up in a C&W household.
When schools were desegregated in 1969 I went straight from George and Tammy to Sly and the Family. Loved them both. A blessing.
That's awesome.
