The problem is not Liberalism.
The problem is Conservative Christians who ceded "The Enlightenment" narrative to the Left.
The idea that God doesn't exist - and therefore, there are no absolutes, and every individual is the arbiter of his own morality - is the cause.

Well, you can blame all of us who know gods do not exist regardless of how committed to reality, reason, and individual rights we are, because what choice do we have? We make good kicking posts because everyone on the Right hates the "godless".
But this is a good explanation of why something as bizarre as "trans-sexualism" has become so disruptive and dangerous and why the Left employs violence to back it up: the destruction of reality and reason on all fronts. A is non-A, 2+2=5 across the board, so there is no escape. Which is why it is essential to fight ALL of it. In the past I saw horrendous cases of child abuse dismissed because the perps wore weird costumes. Now here it is again, only 100 times worse and spread across the culture. This is why "Be kind and inclusive" must never be extended to these destroyers.
Conservative Christians are one of the biggest obstacles in monitoring US mosques for jihadi activities.
The Church is also an obstacle to anti-immigration efforts.
