On his show Real Time, Maher didn't hold back, labeling NPR and PBS as radically biased outlets and mocking former NPR CEO Katherine Maher (no relation) for claiming they are "completely impartial." "Oh please, ma'am, don't make me laugh," he fired back, arguing these networks have lost all journalistic credibility.
"We've outgrown the era where these outlets made sense," Maher said. "In a country this polarized, where Republicans and Democrats see each other as existential threats, there's no room for government-funded media that clearly favors one side."
