The West (mostly Europe) has been hollowed out, as Trump has been outlining in his recent speeches. Communism (in the guise of "Demoratic Socialism") has begun rotting much of Western Europe, and certainly the ethos of the United Nations and the world's Oligarchy.
Therefore, Trump seems to be shifting, or attempting to shift ,what used to be called "Diplomacy" to a more economic (Capitalist) model, wherein major players would get together to build out troubled areas like Gaza, in order to make them so economically viable that none would dare start a war.
This sounds like a good idea on the face of it. And I think it very well may be successful in Gaza.
However, one could envision a particularly crafty third world leader burning down his own country in order to incentivize economic investment from The Board of Peace.
I'm sure there are more problems with this strategy, but, for now, it does seem more practical than "Peace Studies".
By the way, this Board of Peace is not an entirely new idea. I believe this strategy framed and strengthened the Abraham Accords, which so far, seem to have been very successful.
