Sheikh Abubukar Hassan Malin urged Muslims to find the pontiff and punish him for insulting the Prophet Mohammed and Allah in a speech that he said was as offensive as author Salman Rushdie's novel The Satanic Verses.
"We urge you Muslims wherever you are to hunt down the Pope for his barbaric statements as you have pursued Salman Rushdie, the enemy of Allah who offended our religion," he said in Friday evening prayers.
"Whoever offends our Prophet Mohammed should be killed on the spot by the nearest Muslim," Malin, a prominent cleric in the Somali capital, told worshippers at a mosque in southern Mogadishu.
"We call on all Islamic Communities across the world to take revenge on the baseless critic called the pope," he said.

"We swear that we will destroy their cross in the heart of Rome ... and that their Vatican will be hit and wept over by the Pope," said Jaish al-Mujahideen (the Mujahideen's Army) in the statement, whose authenticity could not be confirmed.
"We will not rest until your thrones and your crosses have been destroyed on your own territory," said the group, which has claimed many attacks against US and government forces in Iraq.

When are people going to realize the issue is bigger than they want to admit. The Islamic Movement is not about a separate state for the Palestinian people. The Islamic Movement is about domination. Google the word "dhimmi" and "jizyah". You will begin to understand. Jerusalem and all of Israel has no place in the Islamic world view. They are occupiers. Interlopers.

I find it amusing that people across the world see and hear the Islamist people of the world reacting to various events with immense fervour. Many times with outright death and mayhem threats to the non-muslim world. Liberals say that the West should abandon Israel and all will be well. Really? Liberals say that extremists in the Islamic world are small in number. Really? Liberals claim that extremist Islamists are no real threat. Hmmm? Box Cutters and a vision proved this theory wrong. Imagine Ahmadinejad with nuclear weapons. Peace and Justice Mr. Ahmadinejad?
These views, hopes, and aspirations are shared throughout the entire Islamic world. If you doubt, research the mindset of "Joe Islamist". It is there for you to see. The only apology was for the fact that the comment upset Muslims THAT MUCH. If they had paid attention to his whole speech, they would see that they are being hypocritical on an even deeper level than it first seemed. The entire discussion centered on the spread of faith through violence, a historic fact to the spread of Islam, yet a tenet of the Muslim faith that Muslims VEHEMENTLY deny today. But as Jonz said, they just had to prove him wrong. No surprises here.

I assume he can normally be found in the Vatican. Or on one of his never publicized trips to foreign countries. You know the ones that never make it onto TV.
