Why Did Obama's Church Honor Farrakhan: From The Jackasses Mouth

Obama says his church honored Farrakhan because of his good works in "the community." Don't believe him (From Richard Cohen at the Washington Post):

Barack Obama is a member of Chicago’s Trinity United Church of Christ. Its minister, and Obama’s spiritual adviser, is the Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr. In 1982, the church launched Trumpet Newsmagazine; Wright’s daughters serve as publisher and executive editor. Every year, the magazine makes awards in various categories. Last year, it gave the Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr. Trumpeter Award to a man it said “truly epitomized greatness.” That man is Louis Farrakhan.

Maybe for Wright and some others, Farrakhan “epitomized greatness.” For most Americans, though, Farrakhan epitomizes racism, particularly in the form of anti-Semitism. Over the years, he has compiled an awesome record of offensive statements, even denigrating the Holocaust by falsely attributing it to Jewish cooperation with Hitler — “They helped him get the Third Reich on the road.” His history is a rancid stew of lies.

And, what did Wright say about Farrakhan?

“When Minister Louis Farrakhan speaks, America listens…For his commitment to truth, education and leadership, we honor Minister Louis Farrakhan with the Rev. Jeremiah W. Wright Jr. Lifetime Achievement Award.”

There was video of the event earlier today, but YouTube has since taken it down.

Surprised?

Not surprised in the least, Pastorius. The Obama/Wright/Farrakhan menage and everyone else it has entangled is a rancid, foul, festering hole which is set to destroy America. Obama is a man who should never have gained such power. And if Americans vote him in, they are going to bring down the worst era of American history ever.

The President is not king. I don't know if he'll be able to do that much damage. But then, look what Jimmy Carter accomplished in the damage department in just four short years.

No, the president may not be king. But, look at the affect Obama seems to have on people, following him around in a dazed state. On top of that, who would he bring into the white house with him?

No, a president isn't king but he definitely has his court. And this "king" would have his "magic".

I don't know what to think. See my comment in the "Slate" post.

I don't trust Obama. That's why I write about him so much.

I have to agree with Christine on this. Obama is not a "normal" politician in the eyes of his acolytes. He is a Hitlerian figure in sheep's clothing who lets his circle of backers do the ranting for him while he tries to pose as the messiah figure who will end this divisiveness and bring all together. This is total b.s. It's not an issue of trusting him -- there is nothing there that is trustworthy. The man is racist, liberal elitist, pro-Islam, and Marxist. And once elected, he will act on all of it. (Even I can find one or two isolated issues I agree with him about. Stopped clock is right twice a day. It's irrelevant in the overall picture.)

Yes, there will be opposition. We are seeing it now. But if it is truly effective it will defeat him at the polls before he gets anywhere near the White House. But if by November there are still enough fools out there to actually elect him, we are in very, very deep shit.

If elected he will be in there for 4 years unless he is impeached. If he does serious damage how will he handle opposition? He will be Commander-In-Chief. Godknows who and what will be in his Cabinet, and there will be NOI goons in the White House, count on it. He will be making deals, whether under or over the table, with Ahmadinejad, Chavez, and every other enemy of this country. Whither Jimmah Cahter goes, so will Barack Hussein Obama. But he'll go there with the authority of the US Presidency. It will send a message to the Islamists, not "Bring It On" but "Come and Get It."

I don't know -- maybe this is the best way to get it all fought out instead of being slowly digested like Europe. But it's scary as hell.

Yeah, maybe, huh?
