Pakistan: Learn The Koran -- Or Else!

From this source:
Blind boy killed by religious teacher

A BLIND seven-year-old student at an Islamic school in eastern Pakistan has died after his teacher punished him for not learning the Koran, police said today.

Muhammad Atif was hung upside down from a ceiling fan and severely beaten by his teacher, Qari Ziauddin, at the seminary or madrassa in Vihari, near Lahore on Thursday, they said.

The teacher also failed to take the boy to hospital after he fell ill and his condition deteriorated, he said.

Police said a postmortem examination report also confirmed physical torture as the cause of death.
Pakistani Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has called for an investigation of the boy's death. Considering the justice system in Pakistan, don't hold your breath for charges against the teacher to be pursued any further.

Learn-the-Koran-or-else "teaching methodology is not confined to Pakistan:

Being a bad boy in a good family doesn't make it BAD family!

I am a muslim and I didn't memorize or (learn by heart ) Quran and no one hanged or killed me so far looooool.

Guys, you must know it. When muslims behave badly this never means that Islam taught them to behave like this. Why don't you see other muslims who are so civilized and educated and so creative and productive around the world.

And yes my friend it is a clear form of barbarism and never blongs to pure Islam

Have a nice day everyone
