Many people will exaggerate anything bad that is remotely connected to Christianity. If it is not connected, they will create imaginary connections. However in the case of Islam, these same people ignore all the evil that its religious beliefs are actually being used to justify. If they don't, then they try to done play them. Rose O Donnell once said that radical Christianity is as dangerous as radical Islam. But how much of the holy bible is devoted to demanding Christians or Jews wage war against all unbelievers? Second of all, what would be radical for Christians or Jews today, is mainstream throughout much of the Islamic world. Feminists complain about the west's treatment of women, but ignore how women are treated in the Islamic world today. In fact pre 19th amendment America would be a Feminist Society compared to how women are treated in Saudi Arabia. If man in the wild west beat up and raped a women he could go to jail, or be hanged by a lynch mob for violating her.
The Palestinians don't tolerate homosexuals. But despite the fact that the Israelis tolerate gay people, many western homosexuals protest on behalf of the Palestinians.
