Once again, all UN "human rights" "international community" resolutions are hypocritically aimed at THE WEST ONLY. Always ask yourself when "human rights" are brought up, "whose sovereignty is being gored?"

The biggest example is "the whole world is getting more diverse." No. The West is getting more diverse. The Middle East is not getting more diverse. China's immigration laws are as strong as ever. Korea is getting somewhat more diverse, but no one without marriage and a trial period gets citizenship or rights. Again, this "global" statement undermines western sovereignty.

The blasphemy laws are not needed in Saudi Arabia. They don't have enough Moslems or Islamic rights in Asian nations to need them. These "global" preventions of blasphemy are aimed at US!!! Same goes for "human rights" to asylum and aid.

UN-helpful, UN-necessary, UN-inspired, UN-palatable.

I also really like Hitch. However, he dissed Palin b/c she wasn't "smart" or "classy" enough, and supported O, I believe.

It has been kinda fun to watch both Hitch and Buckley flail around with consternation over O's completely predictable behavior post-election. Small favors.

If you don't mind wetting yourself, read Burge's take on the conservative aristocrats' support of O. Rip-snortingly funny.
