All of us, every single man, woman, and child on the face of the Earth were born with the same unalienable rights; to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. And, if the governments of the world can't get that through their thick skulls, then, regime change will be necessary.
The citizens of Britain are standing up for their BEST- Sad that it took them so long to realize that their freedoms have been slowly taken from them---they aren't 'allowed' to own guns anymore-as I recall.. C-CS
Unfortunately the video doesn't make it clear what they are standing up against. Are you sure it had anything to do with what Shiva talked about on his post? What were they protesting?
They were protesting the return of British soldiers returning from combat duty parading in the streets. They carries signs sporting phrases such as "Anglican soldiers go to hell" and "Anglican soldiers: cowards, killers, extremists" and hurled tirades of verbal abuse at the soldiers as they passed by.
I'm talking about the people in the video, not the British Islamists. Now that I look at and the two I realize that they are the same thing. But those signs are hard to make out.
As a Brit it's heartwarming to see this. I now know that the muslims have gone too far, and that we will not see our boys treated in this way. There was another parade in Watford yesterday (20 miles from this) and thousands turned up to support the troops.
If the police were not mollycoddling the perpetrators of religious and racial hate then I am sure the muslims would have been seriously attacked. The police should have arrested them that is for sure. Perhaps next time they will do so having learned their lesson.
Well, look at that, we have two different views on this British incident.
We have Ray Boyd's view, which is heartening,
and
we have Shiva's which is disheartening.
Both are true, to some extent. Ray is on the ground in Britain. Shiva is British, but lives in Indonesia. However, Shiva's story is backed up by facts as well.
For my part, I believe we are beginning to see the end of the aquiescence of the British people. I don't think the people ever agreed with the Jihadists. But, I think the people are now, absolutely, fed up.
And, while the police do represent the government's wishes, at this point, the police are not a monolithic organization. And, if they are forced, by the government, to go against the will of their neighbors, there will be many who will break ranks, or work at cross-purposes.
This is getting interesting.
And, of course, we get a lot of comments around here from Brits who claim to be absolutely sure that all the dhimmification is at an end.
Shiva is right about the police and government we know that but my point is the people are the one's that hearten me. More backlash from them is good. My feeling is that now when the troops march the people will come out in support.
If they are confronted by fascist muslims they will respond and the police will probably find it easier and wiser to ban the muslims for a change.
Until now the muslims have got away with it because they were not facing enraged brits. I just see this as a seachange - I hope.

Total,

The point I was making in my post is not so good, and it is something hat has been missed by every-one.
It was Brits that where arrested for racial incitement, not the inciters.
This shows that the police, courts and government are prepared to protect and side with the fascists.
These are the same police, courts and government which are trying to stamp out the BNP.
Those moslems where lucky yesterday, but they will not be forgotten.

I hope they are right.

I hope you are right, Ray.
And, it's time for us Americans to stop putting up with the treasonous behavior as well.
Pastorius,
I agree, and I hope we do so soon.
