This information has yet to be confirmed by Israeli officials.

Unless Gilad is very sick and they don't want him transferred to an Israeli hospital.
They could care less about Shalit's health. Israel has shown through various one-sided exchanges that dead IDF soldiers are just as valuable as live ones. Hamas has no incentive to keep Gilad Shalit alive and knowing those barbaric monsters, they would enjoy keeping his remains as a trophy. I feel little sympathy for the people of Gaza, you make the bed you sleep in. Hamas won their power in a democratic election and when you sleep with the dogs, you will undoubtedly pick up flees.
TMZ is reporting that Michael Jackson died of a heart attack this afternoon. If that's true, there go the major news outlet coverage of anything else for at least 24 hours.
