Birther Orly Taiz Fined

from The National Ledger:

Oops! Obama 'Birther' Fined $20,000

Obama 'birther' fined $20,000? Orly Taitz, an attorney who the court said wasted the money and time of the court system claiming that President Barack Obama was born in Kenya, as opposed to Hawaii making him therefore ineligible for Presidency, has been fined $20,000 for her actions.

According to the Associated Press, U.S. District Judge Clay D. Land's "scathing 43-page order yesterday said California lawyer and dentist Orly Taitz filed "frivolous" litigation and attempted to misuse the federal courts to push a political agenda."

Land is a George W. Bush appointee. "The absolute absence of any legitimate legal argument, combined with the political diatribe in her motions, demonstrates that Ms. Taitz's purpose is to advance a political agenda and not to pursue a legitimate legal cause of action," Land wrote.

The Daily Beast adds that the judge also noted, "The Court finds that counsel’s conduct was willful and not merely negligent. It demonstrates bad faith on her part. As an attorney, she is deemed to have known better… Her response to the Court’s show cause order is breathtaking in its arrogance and borders on delusional." The fine is due in 30 days.

Not that I believe the Obama "birther" conspiracy (it would be great if it could be proven true though), but with all the questionable appointees and crooked dealings surrounding "O", I do believe it is only a matter of time before his house comes crashing down. Will we then be able to fine him too for "wasting our time"?

No birth certificate?

Not a problem. Besides, obviously nobody on Earth is qualified to ask an elected U.S. president to produce one anyhow.

Other papers establishing legal identity?

Nah. Just toss out a Presidential order to seal them suckers right up.

If you say the "birther" movement may never gain sufficient traction, for whatever reason, to bring the One down, I might be inclined to agree with you on that. Media dereliction of duty to inform the public might facilitate that unfortunate outcome.

But to equate "birthers" with "truthers" is intellectually lazy.

Truthers failed to show any compelling evidence that 911 was a government plot or "inside job". They also failed to show that those who actually claimed responsibility for the atrocity were lying. They did so by studiously avoiding the Islamic concept of jihad, which pretty much explains everything you need to know about 911.

Birthers, on the other hand, have (so far) simply shown that it is very difficult (not to mention unpopular) to challenge official authority in America. No one with a brain is really questioning their thesis - that Obama has failed to show the expected documentation, and that he is oddly, and at great expense, stonewalling in doing so.
That's not delusional at all, it's actually more like vigilant.

Was the $20K fine enough? Maybe when Taitz becomes a real lawyer she will appreciate what just happened. I wonder if she is a mail order bride, just like her law degree? She is perfect reporter material for “Fake News”, where unfounded rumors and innuendo reign supreme , unlike a our US courts of law, where you need to present documented facts, not half baked lies (prepare for more failures). When flies get too close to the lights they get burned, Taitz just got burned, thing is, like a fly she will continue, no end in sight. Poor little Birthers they are haters not debaters.

A lawyer, dentist, realtor and black belt, wow I must say a JACK of all trades master of none.
