All of us, every single man, woman, and child on the face of the Earth were born with the same unalienable rights; to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. And, if the governments of the world can't get that through their thick skulls, then, regime change will be necessary.
Last quote from the film: "We stood against tyranny. We stood against terror. We have to remember make the people who, who, who wish us harm, they need to know that we were not defeated in Beirut. We're still here. And our sons and our daughters and our grandsons and our granddaughters will be told the story. And they will be here for generations in the future. And that's the hope of America."
Thank you, sir, for your service to America.
From his quote above, I note by highlighting his hestitation. Yes, he and those who survived will continue to tell his/their story. Unfortunately, unless that hesitation is addressed, and Islam is identified and characterized as the enemy, all generations that follow, will continue to fight the ghost of the enemy - that doctrine which fuels generation after generation to do such harm- and refuses to be named.
Islam is the enemy which holds the imagination of generations to come. Unless and until this concept is grasped and firmly addressed, successive generations of Americans will be on the frontlines in combat against adherents to Islamic doctrine. Sun Tzu in the Art of War: " It is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you will not be imperiled in a hundred battles; if you do not know your enemies but do know yourself, you will win one and lose one; if you do not know your enemies nor yourself, you will be imperiled in every single battle."
How many soldiers lives are we willing to sacrifice to this hesitation of identification? How many additional murdered innocents will be sacrificed by the next 9/11, 10/23/98, 10/12/2000, etc. - in order to protect the global followers who perpetuate/enable this doctrine which causes so much harm today and foisted upon previous generations?
God bless and protect our Armed Service men. Prayers go out to all the families who lost a son or a daughter, father or mother, to Islamic tyranny and terror.
