This Is Your Land

Thoughts for a Sunday Morning.

This is your land
Its the way it was planned
Sky to the sea, something to see
Old ancient town, to the old people ground
I wanna know something to hold
This is your land, laid out in your hand
This is your land
Wherever I go, way down here I know
This is your land

Oh churches and steeples, big city people
I wanna know something to hold
Walk down the track, to the old railroad track
I wanna live something to see
This is your land, laid out in your hand
This is your land
Wherever I go, way down here I know
This is your land

Money cant buy me
Money cant buy me
Ive got time
Time is on my side

You dont know what youve got till the whole things gone
The days are dark and the road is long

And when you walk away, the hope is gone
Tell me what is right, and what is wrong?

Is this the way it was planned
This is your land, take it in your hand
This is your land
Wherever I go, way down here I know
This is your land ...

Question to ponder:

Whose land is it, and how do we make sure it stays that way?

I've got my own opinion.

I missed your excellent 9-ll-09 post w/the only remaining structure- the cross at the site---the brave ones wanted it to remain--certain 'others' were 'offended' and demanded that it be brought down..

It fits my 'faith' post for today...

Thank you- Pastorius - for standing strong.....

Thank you for expressing your appreciation. It is encouraging.

And you, being a Christian Soldier would get that post. Most of the people I go to Church with would think I am a lunatic for writing that.

I don't understand why they think so. We support missionaries in China and the Ukraine. We, as a Church, know all about the oppression of Christians. But, we don't put two and two together, and figure out that it could easily happen to us as well.

We think Western Civilization is invincible.

It sure wasn't in the late 30's and early 40's.

We're fools to think the way we do.

By the way, the reason I highlighted the line that says, "I've got time - time is on my side," is because I believe right will always win out over wrong IN THE FINAL ANALYSIS.

So no matter how bad it gets before we finally start to fight, I am confident we will win.

But, it could get so bad that we go back to living in walled cities.

Or something that is virtually the equivalent.

P-I get and have gotten a LOT of 'eye rolls' myself ---
The 'eye rolls' used to bother me and make me 'back off' ---
Not any more!!
It's good to know there are fellow 'warriors'!!!

Yeah, that does help. It's strange to have all these relationships with people on the internet. Some have become good friends of mine, though I don't meet them. I've only met four people with whom I work on the internet.
