US President Barack Obama is back in the US after an Asian trip that produced few results.

When he entered office, US President Barack Obama promised to inject US foreign policy with a new tone of respect and diplomacy. His recent trip to Asia, however, showed that it's not working. A shift to Bush-style bluntness may be coming.

There were only a few hours left before Air Force One was scheduled to depart for the flight home. US President Barack Obama trip through Asia had already seen him travel 24,000 kilometers, sit through a dozen state banquets, climb the Great Wall of China and shake hands with Korean children. It was high time to take stock of the trip.

Barack Obama looked tired on Thursday, as he stood in the Blue House in Seoul, the official residence of the South Korean president. He also seemed irritable and even slightly forlorn. The CNN cameras had already been set up. But then Obama decided not to play along, and not to answer the question he had already been asked several times on his trip: what did he plan to take home with him? Instead, he simply said "thank you, guys," and disappeared.

David Axelrod, senior advisor to the president, fielded the journalists' questions in the hallway of the Blue House instead, telling them that the public's expectations had been "too high."

Right now I am rooting for Mr Obama. He has to be ready on day one, and he has to start with the economy by doing ONE RIGHT THING.

Just ONE.

It's all about confidence. If he does ONE RIGHT THING on the economy and confidence rises, we all win.

Nothing else matters.

Do ONE RIGHT THING Obama and those who spoke against you will sigh in relief.

I don't know what that thing is, yet.

But you should be devoting 75% of each day to figuring that out.
What is it that will BEGIN to bring confidence back to the American consumer?

It's not a check.
It may be a plan.
Get ready and EXECUTE because you got the job you wanted.
And THE WEIGHT is right on you.
Do that one right thing.

Wait until people begin to understand unemployment is really 17.5%.

Right now, I think all the jobless people are still in the stage of feeling sorry for themselves and blaming their "failure" on themselves.

Wait until they realize it isn't their fault, but is instead the result of

a socialism-caused problem (a housing bubble caused by socialist governmental policy which forced banks to give loans to people who did not deserve them)

which in turn led to

a socialism-based solution (bailing out the banks, as well as the car companies who were negatively-effected by the resulting credit crunch.

The reality is, Capitalism, as sloppy as it may be, is the best system, and it has within it natural checks and balances (those who do not play according to the rules will eventually become despised and will lose their market share.

Bad things result whenever we do not allow the invisible hand of capitalism solve its own problems.
