Yes, aside from AG Eric Holder addressing the supposedly banned CAIR, aside from Nancy Pelosi's Health Bill giving the feds the rights to invade every aspect of your personal finances to determined if you should be fined $15k or jailed in their new scheme to break the govt and us ....
While the actions of the Hasan's and others are dangerous and murderous, Jefferson and the founders warned over and over that over time the biggest threat to our individual freedoms and properties would be from OUR OWN GOVT.
Those ARE the facts.
In honor of the growing numbers of such items we are adding a new category here at Villagers with Torches : Just Imagine If Bush Did ItJustice Dept. Asked For News Site's Visitor Lists
In a case that raises questions about online journalism and privacy rights, the U.S. Department of Justice sent a formal request to an independent news site ordering it to provide details of all reader visits on a certain day.
The grand jury subpoena also required the Philadelphia-based Indymedia.us Web site "not to disclose the existence of this request" unless authorized by the Justice Department, a gag order that presents an unusual quandary for any news organization. Kristina Clair, a 34-year old Linux administrator living in Philadelphia who provides free server space for Indymedia.us, said she was shocked to receive the Justice Department's subpoena. (The Independent Media Center is a left-of-center amalgamation of journalists and advocates that - according to their principles of unity and mission statement - work toward "promoting social and economic justice" and "social change.")
The subpoena (PDF) from U.S. Attorney Tim Morrison in Indianapolis demanded "all IP traffic to and from www.indymedia.us" on June 25, 2008. It instructed Clair to "include IP addresses, times, and any other identifying information," including e-mail addresses, physical addresses, registered accounts, and Indymedia readers' Social Security Numbers, bank account numbers, credit card numbers, and so on.

Those ARE the facts.

Press Release
Federal Reserve Press Release
Release Date: June 25, 2008
For immediate release
The Federal Open Market Committee decided today to keep its target for the federal funds rate at 2 percent.
Recent information indicates that overall economic activity continues to expand, partly reflecting some firming in household spending. However, labor markets have softened further and financial markets remain under considerable stress. Tight credit conditions, the ongoing housing contraction, and the rise in energy prices are likely to weigh on economic growth over the next few quarters.
The Committee expects inflation to moderate later this year and next year. However, in light of the continued increases in the prices of energy and some other commodities and the elevated state of some indicators of inflation expectations, uncertainty about the inflation outlook remains high.
The substantial easing of monetary policy to date, combined with ongoing measures to foster market liquidity, should help to promote moderate growth over time. Although downside risks to growth remain, they appear to have diminished somewhat, and the upside risks to inflation and inflation expectations have increased. The Committee will continue to monitor economic and financial developments and will act as needed to promote sustainable economic growth and price stability.
Voting for the FOMC monetary policy action were: Ben S. Bernanke, Chairman; Timothy F. Geithner, Vice Chairman; Donald L. Kohn; Randall S. Kroszner; Frederic S. Mishkin; Sandra Pianalto; Charles I. Plosser; Gary H. Stern; and Kevin M. Warsh. Voting against was Richard W. Fisher, who preferred an increase in the target for the federal funds rate at this meeting.

Nope.
Oh, I just saw your second comment.
Interesting. Thing is, that's not the kind of thing that would make Liberals at Indymedia really angry.
It would seem the Justice Dept. is trying to find someone, don't you think?

You're missing a big one that would make liberals very worried. On June 26 (the next day) in a MUCH anticipated ruling SCOTUS struck down the D.C. gun ban and affirmed the Constitution stated individual citizens had the right to keep and bear arms.

Ah, yes, that could have been the "stimulus".
