Our Southern Border is a War Zone

I received the following yesterday in an email from a friend who lives in southwestern Texas. How much of this has appeared in the MSM as compared to reports of "protests" by East Coast libtards against the "racist" Arizona law?

[B]eing right on the border with Juarez, which is now the murder capital of the world or at least in the top three, we are very apprehensive. Few days ago, a spray of bullets struck one of the federal buildings in downtown El Paso-it came from the gunfight across the border, near the bridge.

It is all out war between and with the drug cartels. It is an absolute war zone--nobody is safe, and, violence is 24/7. A reporter from the BBC was doing a report from Juarez Mexico--went out with the police on an evening shift. [T]his man was a seasoned, experienced war correspondant from England, in the space of an hour, he interviewed a weeping woman, her murdered husband was still slumped bleeding over the steering wheel, and then, moments later, a 7 year old boy was shot dead--the reporter was there--somebody had draped a blanket over the body--a man standing next to the reporter was desperate with fear that it was his grandson--the blanket was lifted and the old man screamed and collapsed--it was his only grandson. The reporter was shocked and aghast--very professional--but you could tell--and he knew--call it what you will, this is full fledged war going on in Mexico--Juarez the epi-center, and, it's--45 minutes from where I live.

[A friend] is very knowledgeable on things Arabic, and, he was shown some of the litter out in the deserts that "immigrants" walk to come here illegally. He told the police that one the items was a Turkish prayer rug--he recognized the design. Arabs are crossing illegally into this country thru our deserts.

The Western states bordering Mexico are being invaded, over-run, kidnapped and terrorized by illegal aliens--dangerous roving gangs--Phoenix is actually the kidnap capital of the USA. Decent, law-abiding, tax paying, property owning Americans are having hordes of armed Mexicans come across their property, and, face punishment and loss of their lands if they protest or draw weapons. Believe it or not, we've had armed Mexican soliders come across our border--ARMED and IN UNIFORM--on American soil--coming over to have breakfast or lunch at one of the restaurants here. To have Washington be so "out of touch"--supremely unconcerned, mocking actually--that this is happening to a section of this nation--is national suicide.

HERE is what the mainstream media publish. Excerpt from a recent article in the WaPo:

...Two months ago, the Arizona Republic published an exhaustive report that found that, according to statistics from the FBI and Arizona police agencies, crime in Arizona border towns has been "essentially flat for the past decade." For example, "In 2000, there were 23 rapes, robberies and murders in Nogales, Ariz. Last year, despite nearly a decade of population growth, there were 19 such crimes." The Pima County sheriff reported that "the border has never been more secure."

FBI statistics show violent crime rates in all of the border states are lower than they were a decade ago -- yet Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) reports that the violence is "the worst I have ever seen." President Obama justifiably asserted last week that "the southern border is more secure today than any time in the past 20 years," yet Rush Limbaugh judged the president to be "fit for the psycho ward" on the basis of that remark.

Without question, illegal immigration and Mexican drug cartels are huge problems. And there is a real danger that the alarming and growing violence in Mexico could spread north. But beyond anecdotes -- the slaying of a rancher and the shooting of a sheriff's deputy -- there is no evidence that it has....

As long as the mainstream media discount and disregard stories such as this posting, the Obama administration will continue "the narrative."

In fact, the BHO administration and the media are hand-holding partners in "the narrative."

I wonder if anyone appreciates that ONE of the unintended consequences of all this will be an INCREDIBLY REACTIONARY RIGHT WING GOVT HERE, in response to the mass of the citizenry being driven not to their right, but ALL THE WAY to the right when the unavoidable happens.

Only then will all the leftist historian begin to appreciate just how terrible a president Obama really is

I heard an economist on a Christian radio show say something similar a few weeks ago...he predicted a tilt to the right, followed by a hard right, followed by a train wreck.

That's a danger because as reality starts to take over from illusion and people find themselves in real existential trouble -- direct physical danger, attacks, difficulty acquiring bare necessities -- as opposed to "the narrative" the natural reaction of many will be overgeneralization and fight-or-flight reactions.

The FBI using "statistics" to "prove" there's no crime increase or crisis at the southern border is no surprise. If the crime is coming from illegals, then it doesn't exist. There are no uniformed Mexicans or heavily armed cartel units coming into NM and Arizona if the feds don't say there is, no matter what local law enforcement is dealing with. Same as there are no jihad training camps in the U.S. and mosques are just places of worship.

I bumped this post to the top of the page for the next few hours.

The feds put signs up warning people to stay out of areas because of the crime risk and the FBI says there's no crime risk. People are threatened with prosecution if they complain or try to defend themselves and the governor is smeared as a racist when she tries to do it for them. Life in Tim Burton movies makes more sense than this.

Check out the post below this one.

Yup. That has not gone unnoticed in Texas, so I'm told.

Apparently there have been riots today in Dudley, England, and Grenoble, France. JihadWatch has some of the details.

Revere Rides Again,

What I find really troubling is the fact that already it seems like Mexican drug gangs are practically turning parts of border states into no go zones. People are being warned to stay away from areas of their own country because the government can't protect them from these foreign criminals gangs. I think I heard some radio talk show hosts say that we are ceding theses areas of the country to Mexico, the truth is more pathetic, we are not ceding regions of the US to Mexico, but it sounds like we are ceding parts of the US to Mexican drug gangs, a bunch of common thugs!

Actually, ATLAS has more coverage plus pictures. Sounds real bad both locations, though apparently no fatalities fortunately.

American thinker: It's not just Mexicans crossing our southern border illegally

I've just posted this above. Some santimonious moron at the Southern Poverty Law Center outed one volunteer militia in Arizona to the MSM as being led by a "neo-Nazi". Every major network is, of course, headlining the story and no doubt gloating that efforts to protect the Arizona border are now covered with more tar than an Alabama beachfront.

I say: Yes, I think that sums it up.

Well put.
