This story beats all for informing public opinion
- Andrew Breitbart at best totally blew it, at worst STUPIDLY intended to deceive, but is revealed nakedly as unreliable without further review .. a salutary fact to be noticed
- The White House and the administration around it is revealed to be unsure, crediting others in fear and highly reactive and is now demonstrated to be incompetent, and an appointer of the HIGHLY PARTISAN. (DUH). See Van Jones.
- Sherrod was not misquoted but underquoted - and upon further review VIEWS AMERICA thru racial glasses ('I took the farmer to one of his own' >>white) and a believer in class war ('it was about haves vs have nots'), which fits rather perfectly with the new, new NAACP.
- The NAACP which condemned Sherrod CLEARLY BECAUSE criticism of their condemnation of the tea party folks as racists HIT DEAD CENTER, did so not even knowing what she said at their own conference, and then tried to un-condemn her, blaming Fox, instead before carefully looking at what she did say in toto .. which is certainly not something American public officials should be saying.
Breibart blew it, he could have made the same point with the entire tape. I believe he HAD the whole story
Obama blew it (Vilsack still has a job, right?). THEY ARE NAIVE and INCOMPETENT and controlled by dialectic.
Fox News blew it by not being skeptical enough about Breitbart
And we all suffer because the real ugly facts of Sherrod in her position are submerged now beneath the errors of judgment and fact.
And in those last 4 lines is nothing about race.
But one thing to remember ... one can turn off Fox News, but we can' turn off Obama (yet). Those people had a RESPONSIBILITY to us. There is no doubt THEY FAILED on this one, and dramatically.
BTW anyone wondering how this would be playing if Bush did this?
