Islamophobic Muslim-American, And Miss USA Winner, Comes Out Against Ground Zero Mosque
From Weasel Zippers:
(NY P0st) — The reigning Miss USA has come out against the Ground Zero mosque, saying “it shouldn’t be so close” to Ground Zero.
The 24-year-old Rima Fakih, is the first Muslim winner of the Miss USA contest and is preparing for the Miss Universe Pageant, scheduled for Monday in Las Vegas.
“I totally agree with President Obama with the statement on Constitutional rights of freedom of religion,” Fakih told “Inside Edition” in an interview that will air tonight.
“I also agree that it shouldn’t be so close to the World Trade Center. We should be more concerned with the tragedy than religion.

Pastorius,
This is really good news.
How come it's mostly women Muslimas who dear to speak up against Islam?I think i have the answer Here they have balls!
«I totally agree with President Obama with the statement on Constitutional rights of freedom of religion»
islam is not a religion
taqyyia
Will,
I would guess its more likely that it is because how poorly male Muslims have traditionally viewed women. They are more likely to question Islam, I think because they would have less to gain from it being correct and more to loose if the true believers had their way. Think about it. Islam was practically designed for men.
Anonymous,
I wouldn't be so sure that she is lying. This is not a politically correct attitude, even if a majority of non Muslims agree with her. It also makes it harder for people to just go around and accuse anyone who disagrees with it being built of "Islamophobia" and although its not that likely, her opposition could at the very least contribute to the Ground Zero Mosque, not being built at all.
there's a lot of taqiya lately...

Damien,
Anonymous is not saying she is lying. He's saying she is wrong.
His point is:
ISLAM IS NOT A RELIGION, so it does not deserve the protections of the first Amendment.
Pastorius,
I was not responding to that comment. I was responding to the one where he or she, or someone else just wrote, "taqyyia." I simple assumed, that he/she meant to say that he thought Fakih was lying when she came out in opposition to the Mosque. That's a problem with leaving anonymous comments, you don't know if its the same person as another anonymous. Maybe I misunderstood what he/she was saying. But I, can't even be sure that the two comments were by the same person. I simply did not connect the two comments, and now that you mention it, they could have been connected, but I'm not sure.
Pastorius,
Also, I would have to say that Islam is a religion, but Muslims who call for or try to overthrow the U.S Constitution and replace it with Sharia do not deserve constitutional protection.
Pretending muslims don't really care about the mosque when they do...
LOL
FUCK iSLAM!
Damien,
In my opinion, when Muslims call for Sharia, the Islam that they are pushing is not simply a religion, but is, instead, a religio-political ideology.
islam is a political ideology
