Extremist Imam Rauf Today: "90% of Sharia law is fully compatible -- not only compatible -- it's consistent or compatible with American constitutional law and American laws. The areas of difference are small and minor."

Full audio here - Minute 58:40: "90% of Sharia law is fully compatible --  not only compatible --  it's consistent or compatible with American constitutional law and American laws. The areas of difference are small and minor." Imam Rauf (more supremacist rhetoric here and here.

Just small and minor stuff like killing apostates, gays, and adulterers, cutting off the hands of thieves, forcing women to live as second-class citizens, veritable slaves the world over ...

Oh yeah, and killing Christians when we get out of line.

That's minor stuff, right?

Pastorius,

What kind of fouls does he take us for?

minor difference is that we don't stone women to death on a single unfounded accusation.. we don't allow pedophilia, thighing of infants, we don't allow 12 year old girls to marry. need i go on..?

Unfortunately for us Pastorius, there are plenty of fools in this country.

Including our president, the prick.

Damien -- If he's aiming this at the media and the libtards, I'd say he's estimated about right. Unless he's an idiot, he's figured out that we understand taqiyya when we hear it.

Inconsistency #1: Sharia is based on the Quran which is claimed to be the dictated and unassailable word of the Mooslum's god. The stoning and beheading and sexual slavery and all the rest stem directly from that.

That basis unequivocably invalidates Sharia as a basis of law in this country in any way, shape, or form.

End of discussion.

You are welcome to your opinion and your delusions, imam Rauf. But if you try to impose them on our country you will have committed an act of war.

Two words: Sleeping. Giant.

FYI: I checked the transcripts, it wasn't Rauf who said it, rather it was Richard Haass.

Oh, man.

Why would Richard Haass say that?

Judging by the transcipt he was trying desperately to keep Rauf from sticking his foot in his mouth. It was the only question asked about sharia.

I guess I'll have to listen to that whole damned thing.

Sheesh, the things I do for hate.

Revere Rides Again,

You have a point, a lot of people are really naive and innocent when it comes to things like this or if they are not, they refuse to deal with reality for some reason. Come to think of it, Its kind of surprising that Rauf didn't claim that there is no conflict between the U.S constitution and Sharia. Some ignorant people might actually buy that.

Am I supposed to believe that when he said that sharia is 90% compatible with American laws, that it included stoning and so forth?

Do you guys believed he's basing it on a pre-anti-lynching laws, or that he's "insinuating"/trying to fool people into believe that that sharia is not a single thing, and do not necessarily includes killing apostates, gays and so on?
