A thought to ponder from Jason Pappas:
German isn't Nazi. The peace-loving German should have opposed Nazism. One can denouce Nazism and still be a German.
Muslim is Muslim.
How does the average peace-loving Muslim, who might be lax or confused about Islam, denouce Islam and still be a Muslim?
The so-called fanatics have the Koran and Hadith on their side. The lax or lapsed Muslim has nothing but a wish that the fanatics would shut up about the all this jihad stuff.
Wishes make for passive side-liners who let it all happen.

I would add something to Jasons comment if I may:
While it is true that the lax/lapsed/peaceful muslims don't strap bombs to themselves to achieve the goal of a global caliphate, their belief system still compels them to want it, they just let others do the leg-work.
If they truely were peaceful tolerant people then they would not be muslims. islam is a war-like arab supremasist ideology and ALL muslims have a single desire; that islam rules the globe.

"moderate Muslims are Apostates" right up until they say the Quran is NOT the uncreated word of god and find they are the majority.
In the meantime you can bet anyone thinking that way is watching the vacillating response of the west, and what's going on in Gaza, Iran and other places and deciding to STFU.
If you have a family, and DON'T BELIEVE martyrdom = fucking and wine all around and one round for everyone, would you be speaking out?
I don't think so.
We cannot save or protect such people and their 'support' doesn't help a lot .. we have to KILL the people who scare these people into silence or there's going to be an awful dark age coming. And we have to do it for OURSELVES.
Which is my beef with the mission as constructed right now in Afghanistan. We can't make every nation in the world a Jeffersonian state.
We CAN KILL THE SONS OF BITCHES. And if we do, I could care less if the afghans want or recede back into some tribal community of strongmen, JUST AS LONG AS THEY HAVE GOTTEN THE POINT.
