Or when the people are technologically behind.
From Jihad Watch:
Fewer than one in 10 Afghans are aware of the 9/11 attacks and their precipitation of the war in Afghanistan, says a study from an international think tank.
[...]
To be sure, the survey can't claim to be definitive: It only canvassed men, and relied primarily on respondents from Helmand and Kandahar, the two most war-torn provinces in the country. But the results nonetheless show that Western forces fighting insurgents in Afghanistan have largely failed to connect with the local population.

Wow, AOW, I just found one of IQ al Rassooli's guest shots on The Roth Show. He is indeed the Real Thing and I loved the precision with which he dealt with Roth's trying to claim there were different "interpretations" of Islam.
I look forward to hearing him on The Gathering Storm this Friday. Does he have insights into why 99.99% of these so-called "loyal American muslims" won't even open their mouths to defend this country from the jihadists?
AoW, there is also the case of "intentional ignorance of technology". My hairdresser, a confident well educated businesswoman who runs two very successful home based businesses refuses to touch a computer. She asked me how I voted in the last election. Based on our conversations, I felt fairly confident she was as conservative as I. After revealing my votes, I asked her about how she voted. She revealed that she voted for the Working Families Party, thinking they were looking out for her interests -- She clearly had no idea she voted for the social justice, 'entitlements-for-all' Communist candidate.
RRA,
You can phone in to ask IQ.
This Friday, he's going to contrast the Islamic concept of thanksgiving with the Western concept.
