Karzai Calls For Nullifying The First Amendment In America

From Jihad Watch, citing Reuters:
...Afghan President Hamid Karzai called on Congress to condemn the burning of the Koran and prevent it from happening again.

Karzai made the request at a meeting with U.S. ambassador Karl Eikenberry and General David Petraeus, the commander of U.S. and NATO forces in Afghanistan, the presidential palace said in a statement.

"The American Congress and Senate must condemn this in clear words, show their stance, and prevent such incidents from happening again," the statement said....
Prevent?

PREVENT?

Take legal action against Terry Jones for burning a book here on American soil?

And what position does Petraeus take? That of a dhimmi!
On Sunday, Petraeus joined the condemnation being voiced by many other political and religious leaders, urging Afghans to understand only a small number of people had been disrespectful to the Koran and Islam.

"We condemn, in particular, the action of an individual in the United States who recently burned the Holy Koran," Petraeus said in a statement, which was also signed by NATO's senior civilian representative, ambassador Mark Sedwill.

"We also offer condolences to the families of all those injured and killed in violence which occurred in the wake of the burning of the Holy Koran," he said.
Karzai's calling for us to abridge freedom of expression here in America and thereby promote Islamic supremacism is so far out of bounds that I don't have words except the vilest epithets.

Okay, Obama. What's your response?

From Allah Pundit:

And so now we move to the inevitable next phase whenever there’s some cycle of revenge in the Muslim world in response to western speech, a la the Mohammed cartoons. Among the public, lots of second thoughts about staying put in Afghanistan, wondering how you build a nation on a foundation that’s capable of this. Among the administration, lots of angst about how to politically navigate the fallout, with free speech rights, AfPak diplomacy, and the outcome of the “Arab Spring” all in the mix. And for the media, lots of effort to hold Terry Jones morally responsible for the dead UN workers even though the only thing he burned was a book. An exit question for them via the Daily Caller’s Mike Riggs: “What are you willing to stop doing to avoid offending violent religious zealots?”

Perhaps it's time a black ops team paid Mr Karzai a social visit.

I'm beginning to think we should have a day of mass Koran burning. What do you all think?

Always On Watch,

The word "prevent" is very vague, but there really wouldn't be much that congress could do to prevent such acts without out right banning them. If that's what he's suggesting, than we can just tell him to go pound sand. If he's telling us to prosecute Terry Jones. Even so, his government does not respect freedom religion, obviously, since it has tried people for leaving Islam, and that's despite the fact that it was voted in democratically. Why should we be so concerned with how he, or his people feel that begin whiting out the sections of our constitution that he does not like? We should thank our founding fathers, the enlightenment thinkers and God himself for first amendment, which specifically forbids punishing people for their speech, and separates church and state.

AOW,

Because of the world wide ban on Israeli products, and DuPont's price increase of its famous 'Nomex®' material, thousands of flame resistant Korans had to be recycled !
"Formula 1" ordered 1000 suits for their drivers !
IDF tank crews got a new "Overalls" with more zippers !...

You see, Nomex® brand fiber provides superior protection and prevents the burning of the Koran .

But it is the Palestinian thing again !...

Burn a koran Day!
I'm in. I want to buy a couple pages of an antique koran (maybe a complete one) off eBay for the burning.
